I heard an "as gaeilge" version of Get Lucky recently (that's: In Irish). You can find it on youtube but I won't punish you with it here.
Also came across this. I quite like it! This guy's debut album recently hit No 1 in the Uk classical charts. The UK being a country that doesn't embrace the accordion nearly as much as say France or Eastern Europe or...anywhere

Come out from the cold and into the setting sun. It's where it all began for me (not in Afrika), like it was out of control. Then after that life was sweet. So dream on into the pioneer skies of the fourteenth century and rise from the sunshine underground.

I really dig the new album. It wasn't what I expected, but man it has so many great moments on it. I appreciate that they went totally in the opposite direction of what was popular at the moment, and I think that's what makes them great artists. I can see how it wouldn't be a fit for everyone, but personally I really dig the new album.
I also agree on "Contact" - wow that song is epic!

We watched the Colbert report bit with the Daft Punk dance number. That was one of the best things I've seen in recent months! It was totally awesome and made Get Lucky bearable! Sorry. I know some of you love it n'all, but I just don't think I'll ever feel that song the way you guys do.
Here's what Colbert had to say (to Pitchfork) in rebuttal to the whole Daft Punk no-show:

yeah. you just dont know if it was or wasn't on purpose anymore for more blown out hype since its the same company.
then they say said they werent going to tour or avoid the question. I dont know if I would see them live if it were the case if its going to be all that album. would honestly get bored.

Daft Punk told Rolling Stone, that if they tour, it would be a career encompassing set, meaning that it would focus more on their evolution, rather than to promote the album, or simply both.

like Alive 2007, (they pretty much mashed up everything they had). If it involves that again Id be quite interested, dont mind some band stuff but if they abandoned the synths and drum machines all together that would be a different story. Its why I loved them. If I wanted a band version I'll go and listen to Phoenix.

This group has become an annoying cheap novelty.
