This track has a really familiar quality to it, lovely downtempo stuff!

The Killers - Mr Brightside (Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duke mix)

Massive. All his mixes sound the same, yet they are all killer.

Picked up Metric's new album today, along with Kraftwerk's The Mix and Mr. Bungle's Disco Volante.

Excellent buy! Have you heard the original versions of the tracks on here? There's always debate over which versions are better, some people say the reworks ruin the originals. Its all good imo!

My faves are the reworks of Radioactivity and the 9 minute brilliance of Trans-Europe Express/Abzug/Metal on Metal.

No, this is actually the first time I've ever heard Kraftwerk. I've always wanted to pick up some of their work, but it's hard to find here, and often expensive. I love 'The Robots' a whole lot now, though! (I wanted to get Minimum-Maximum, but it was $36 CDN)

Minimum - Maximum is a must have, believe me is worth it every cent!!!

Yeeaah i know!!! :D And today they anannounced Morrissey aswell :D

The lineup is looking great so far with bands like: Tool, Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros, coldcut, deftones, birdy nam nam and so on...

And there is plenty of intresting rumours too. For example Morrisey told a danish magazine that he, bob dylan, queens of the stoneage and the flaming lips will play at roskilde :D. I'm so excited about this festival, it's gonna be my first aswell :D.

the Magic Numbers - Close your eyes (live from Shepperds bush empire)

from the I see you you see me single

beau-ti-full!!! I saw them again last saturday and they played it again. The Chems already made a beautifull song but when the numbers play it becomes so tiny and fragile. Goosebumps!!

I would listen to it if someone sent it to me...... ;-)

And I don't mean that he's ripping himself off, but he has a very identifiable sound. Usually, I find that I KNOW I'm listening to a Jacques Lu Cont remix just from hearing it. I seriously love his sound, although I know I'm preaching to the choir right now!

Irishman sorted me out with the remix, i'll hook you up to. There's a remix I think sounds like exactly something Lu Cont would make Studio B: I See Girls [Freemasons Remix]. Have a listen

Chikinki: Take it or leave it [Tom Neville Remix]

Sexy tune 8)

I love that Chikinki tune! It's been a long while since I heard the Tom Neville mix, but the original is solid, too. Took me over a year to hunt that album down. Still isn't released over here.

Oh yeah, and now playing:

Mr. Bungle - Desert Search for Techno Allah

Sheer weirdness. The title is pretty apt. Would love to see this somehow dropped in a DJ set somewhere by Erol Alkan or Soulwax or somebody of similar ilk. Mike Patton is a demented genius. Love him.
