I'm against school uniform, because it in my opinion takes away freedom from pupils. Some are saying that it will decrease bullying, but I think bullying goes deeper than that. Just look at England :P:P, clothes are just an other excuse for bullying, but it could be anything really... Bullies often suffer from personal problems, and it would be better to solve those problems then to introduce school uniform and think the problems will solve itself.

Other reasons not to introduce school uniforms are that they are'nt practical, some ppl might think they are to hot/cold etc. The clothes are'nt choosen by each pupil individually.

and say that theyre a bollox and that if somethin happens to them, like ripped the parents have to fork out extra money and if they didnt have school uniforms this wudnt happen for one thing (parents paying money) and if it did, then they cud easily just get another shirt or something..

School Uniforms Suck

i actually think school uniforms are a good idea.

i hated it at school, but i think its a really good leveller - when i think back to 'mufti day' (non-uniform day) i can remember some of the poorer kids coming in in really bad clothes - didnt fit properly, not the coolest brands, you know whatever (i was in that category too for that matter - i just didnt give a feck how i looked at that age, i had more important things to worry about like skateboarding or whatever)

but these kids got the p1ss ripped out of them. and it was harsh, kids are nasty sometimes.

at least with a uniform you get a level playign field. everyone wears the same, u forget a bit about backgrounds and your just one big erm.. i dunno mass.

plus in a way it prepares u for work - most places u work you will have to wear some sort of uniform - whether its overalls or a suit and tie - so it gets you used to 'work clothes' and 'home clothes'.

i reckon anyway. :)

I agree with you Mips.

I think school uniforms are a good idea.

I remember i was the only girl in class who didn't wear nike air max. My mum always gave me everything i needed , but she didnt have to money to buy this expensive shoes for me. I remember how much fun this girls made of me for wearing cheap shoes.

And this is just one example.

I think with school uniforms u make everybody equal. Rich or poor , they all look the same.
