I just wanted to say that I'm dying to see chemical brothers live... They already gave a show in 2004, but I missed it. Anyway some people told me that the show wasn't what they spected, because of the rain they played just an hour or less... :S

PLEASE CHEMICAL BROTHERS COME BACK TO ARGENTINA!!!:'(

The Bros should definitely return to Argentina. I mean...the '04 show only lasted 45min, man! C'mon!

Well, I couldn't be there, but I did realize it rained a lot that night. But how come they (the event organizers) weren't prepared for rain? You sure know when it's gonna rain days before it happens... I know we kinda blow in matter of technology, but that was ridiculous.

Ea Pik! This guy's a buddy of mine...if you guys ever comeback and see 3 guys -2 koreans and an Argentine- jumping/dancing right in front of you like there's no tomorrow...well, that'd be us. (the other kr guy is MaSaO btw) xD

So...exit whichever planet you're at, dig your hole, surrender, come with us and push the button!!! }:-@

P.D.: ...really, plz come back... :'(

I bet the Chems will be back to Argentina to clear up some unfinished business. In time. A couple of past events (like when they re-booked Mexico City for example) show they don't like to leave any stones unturned.

Actually, what the Chems deserve the most right now is to be with their families and friends and doing their own thing and taking a break from living out of suitcases - hopefully they're being inspired to make tunes they can share. We got a ways to go before the next tour!

I figure the whole Argentina thing is just lingering hostility from the Falklands War. I mean, can you really blame Tom and Ed for not wanting to go there?

And that's why they should come to Uruguay instead of Argentina. ;)

Well when there were troubles in Northern Ireland back in the day nobody wanted to come here.

We waited a good lot of years to see some of the best acts for the first time. When a band did come during the troubles, it was respected, it showed they had balls. X-D

Well, point is, I wouldnt be surprised if the chemical brothers didnt do a show in Argentina for a long time, if there were troubles/wars going on.

You're so right Foxy - I remember reading about how the troubles in N. Ireland stopped a lot of bands from playing. And there are parts of N. Ireland that are very beautiful but nobody would've known because it's not as though there was a big tourist industry push to get people to go there.

I had a friend who went to Belfast, it was in 1991. Things were better than they were but there was still a lot of unrest, and definitely not a lot of American tourists that's for sure. My friend got a lot of attention from people who were shocked and humbled that an American would venture into Belfast.

Ha, I was only 1 year old :)

I just got the tail end of the troubles. Like they were and still are driving about in them big ugly landrovers, the police that is and on the subject of the police, I dont think theyve got it sorted out yet. There is still a bit of trouble going on but obviously not as bad. A few days ago, in a town not far from where I live, a 15 year old Christian Catholic was beat to death because of his religion. Its been all over the news here.

As for the Americans, theyre alot more common these days and when theyre here Its like, ''Do you know my uncle.. He's called Paddy!!''

Ah yes, Uncle Paddy. It seems that just about anyone I know that claims to be the "fightin' Irish" has an "uncle" somewhere in the North that's connected to the IRA!

Anyway, my friend that went there would've had a hard time asking for his Uncle Paddy - he was American but of Korean and Cherokee descent. It really threw the people he met for a loop, they couldn't place him at all and when he opened his mouth this typical flat American accent fell out! X-D He was shocked at the police in their riot gear just standing around while the kids innocently played ball in the streets. They stopped him many times from going into stores to check his backpack.

Just a side note here, my son is named after the hero in the Leon Uris book called Trinity. Different spelling, tho'. 8)

YOU may not care about the War, but clearly Tom & Ed do. They're very politically active, if you haven't noticed.

If you take a look at their tour schedule over the past few years, you'll find that they used to tour the USA a lot too, until Bush invaded Iraq.

Soon thereafter, the American dates slowly dried up, until now, when I honestly expect we'll never see the Chems north of Mexico again (and maybe not even there if the Zapatista revolution isn't satisfactorily resolved).

So while I respect that you're willing to be apolitical, I know that our beloved Chemical Brothers take a wider view of the world. A shame from a musical perspective, but probably for the better.

Speaking of cancellations, The Chems were advised not to play in Chile in 1999 because of security issues. They really wanted to go, but the situation was beyond their control. I believe the Chems want to make good on promises, and there's a couple of instances that prove they do try - Mexico for one, South America... And though it wasn't spurred by a cancellation, they did a dj set at some river rave on the US east coast a couple of years ago in support of a radio station that cut them a break in the early days.

Anyway. Here's a badly translated interview that robot.mx posted:
