I agree! I miss the single day pass! But I made plans a year in advance (by saving some hard-earned cash) because I knew they would do the 3-day pass again!

So if they come to Indio, I'll be waiting!

I read some irritating and elitist comments last year on Facebook Coachella page and message board for proponents of the 3 day pass saying that people that only go for one day aren't true music fans. And well, we can just suck it if we can't afford 3 days.

The Coachella Forum and Coachella Facebook posters are some of the most insanely annoying, stupid, intolerant, dumb f*ck-trolls to grace the face of the internetz. It's like 4chan started a community for music and created the Coachella messageboards, except they dropped their self-awareness and ironic purposes.

I refused to start posting on anything Coachella related outside of these boards and largely stopped reading them because the people who choose to post on there make me start appreciating Tool's AEnima so much more than I should.

Whirls, I am with you. We are the responsible adults who are still trying to have a bit of fun and cannot afford three day passes. We have rocked harder than any of those whiny self-entitled hipsters. I want to drag them through the alleyways outside of the clubs where I have had magical 4 a.m. moments and make them eat the garbage that everyone else throws away.

::sigh::

Well... to be fair, not everyone on the Coachella board is a troll. We have Bosco who has kept it real and civil on the Coachella forums! Represent! :D

The 3 day pass thing is a business decision based on the financial bottom line- I understand that decision and if it ensures Tom and Ed have a slot to play at one of the greatest US festivals, I'm OK with that. I just don't like some elitist telling anyone that just because they can't afford 3 days, then they don't appreciate music. That's just plain rude.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Word.....you shouldn't be force to go all 3 days just because you have to adapt to everyone else's music taste!

I remember me trollin' on Main Square Festival's facebook page cause after Pearl Jam on the second day and Rammstein on the third, they made us wait for months to finally announce that the headliners of the first day would be...black eyed peas and david guetta. THEN THEY SAW ME TROLLIN AND THEY HATIN
But I already had a 3-day pass (because of PJ and R+) and I kept it because Vitalic was also playin' on the first day.

By the way I hope the Chems will come to that festival this year ! They already came in 2008 (the first time I saw them) and I know they are at Werchter this year so I may hope for an Arras gig.

Because it brings back so much memories about my own life!

But jeez....i used to share EVERYTHING. Literally everything!

I'm still the same person as 5 years ago, but i think i'm a little bit more thoughtfull with what i share and what not!

Thankfully, there are enough other acts at Coachella for me not even being able to question whether or not spending $300 to go see the Chems is worth it. ;-) YEYAH!

Going to be a lot of work between now and April, but I'm excited. Hopefully there will also be some late and exciting additions to the lineup. I'm sad that Trentemoller and Leftfield are on Sunday. :-( I'm not going to get to see them. SAD FACE AGAIN!

Apparently Mr. Scruff is one of the most active members on his own forum. I went asking for an acapella and got a personal response! Shame he doesn't have it, though...

I didn't know he had a forum. Amon Tobin often posts on his forum (though, only to reply in the "Ask Amon" section)

So I just received my "Ninja Tune : 20 years of beats and pieces" book.
It's just soooo beautiful. 200 pages about an English electronic music label, with a lot of it being wondefrul artworks and pictures, mostly made by Strictly Kev, and the rest telling the wonderful story of the label and some of it's most notable albums.
Really if you have £14 to spend (Iguanapunk ?), rush to the Ninja Tune Shop and get the Ninja Tune XX vol 1 + 2 CDs + this book for only £14. It's the best deal you could get !

Hey, does any of you experienced Coachellas know how fast the tickets (one night) are usually gone? I seriously consider planning to go there as it's gonna be my final weekend in the states.

Sounds like a great deal. Is it only available in the UK?

Sadly, if you'll refer to the above posts in this thread about Coachella, there is some incessant bitching about how Goldenvoice no longer sells single day tickets. You need to buy a pass for the entire weekend if you want to attend.

Money grubbing whores. :-(

Should have read more carefully. Urgh, that's a shame. If it's not tooo expensive and I still have a nickel in my wallet around that time I might do it after all.

Hey Bosco. Yes, since late September last year (and I enjoy it way too much looking at the scale, I could need some wild dancing :D)
