my mercury mouth withdrawn version is the rarest
Which version is that? I happened to find a copy of 'My Mercury Mouth' floating around at the record exchange in Notting Hill a few years ago and it was only a tenner. At the time I figured it was a fairly good score, but if it turns out to be the very rare version I could be sitting on a (very small) vinyl goldmine! X-D
From memory, it has 'MMM', 'Kling... Klong', 'Dust Up Beats' and maybe one other track, I can't remember! Can anyone tell me the cat no. for the very rare version so I can check it against my copy?
Cheers! :)

That's nice and cryptic mate! ;-)
Marsh, I think you can get the other version of 'DUB' on the original Wipeout soundtrack..... correct me if I'm wrong anyone!

not true. look at the etching of the b side, the side with dust up beat. the normal my mercury mouth release will have JBO-20-B2 etched into it. the withdrawn version has JBO-20-B1 etched into it. apart from that the are identical.

That is very interesting info Sneaker!!
My withdrawn version has JBO-20 B etched in the vinyl and the normal version has JBO-20 B1. Also the original is only pressed a bit more than halfway on the vinyl while the normal one is almost fully pressed.
How's that with you Sneaker?

are you sure you got the etchings the right way round son??? as for the pressing depth, they look both pretty much the same

yeah I'm sure double checked and all.
But I didn't mean the pressing depth, I meant how far it is pressed from the side to the label. So the withdrawn version, if you look from outside to inside, is a bit more than halfway while the normal version is almost all the way.
And get this. My normal version has an extra ecth into it saying G-COPYMASTERS. WTF??? 8O
Help me out Sneaker. Just to be sure the normal version sounds like the one used in/on the Wipe-out XL/2097 game/soundtrack, the withdrawn version has a womans voice sample saying something that's sounds like "Been down".
AAHHH!! This gets a fan CRAZY!!

both my copies are pretty much full press, there is about an inch between the pressing and the label. both my copies have G-COPYMASTERS etched into them, but that is on the a-side only.
JBO-20 B1 is the withdarwn version. this is the one similar to the wipeout 2097 soundtrack and the version they played live. the differece being that the wipeout version is an edit missing the first 48 seconds of the tune.
JBO-20 B2 is the final relese version with the female 'been down' vocal. or as mc marsh would describe, the dub version

MAN I AM SHOCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8O 8O 8O
I had the withdrawn version before I had the normal. I had it the other way around. Now I understand all you guys.
That the brothers think the newer version is better than the withdrawn version is real strange to me now.
Jeez I feel weird now, have to let this sink in.
You're sure about your info Sneaker??
