Hi everybody
I just want to let you know that Daft Punk changed their FB profile picture and their website to a light blue color with no apparent meaning... but I think there is something behind.
It is actually too soon to expect something new from Thomas and Guy, but... who knows.

Well, they wouldn't change to that "just because". I mean look : https://www.facebook.com/daftpunk it's not like they change to new artworks or photos of the robots, it's just plain blue... There's something cooking. A tour maybe ? The light blue color was associated with Alive 2007

Alas there's a more mundane, albeit not entirely uninteresting, explanation:
http://pitchfork.com...cki-minaj-more/
Though I suppose Daft Punk canoodling with Jay Z, et al, is worth taking note of.

Well maybe it will treat the artists more fairly than spotify. I won't be paying $20 a month though. I'll probably carry on listening to the radio and buying physical music. Call me old fashioned...

^Meh. It won't take off. Lacking a free option will definitely fail to appeal to people who just care to listen to music for free, regardless of how trendy or upscale they attempt to make the service look. I'm actually doing a research paper on this kind of stuff right now - this is about as far away as you can get from being a Spotify killer.
How about a patronage based subscription service? Everyone's main singles are available for free (with ads), so you can hear everyone's goods up-front. But if you want more of an artist, you can pay like $1-2 to the artist and have their back catalogue at the ready, no ads. That way you pay only as much as you want and only for the artists you care about, instead of every artist ever.
I'd join that.

The *only* reason I will respond to this at all is because Daft Punk's "cycle" is almost up again for touring.
Tour 1996 / Alive 1997
Tour 2006 / Alive 2007
Suggested Tour 2016 / Alive 2017
*Edit:
I just went to their facebook page and they have updated their cover photo again.
They are helping to support the launch of Tidal.com, with a video playing claiming that they are going to feature something like an MTV for the Internet that I presume will lack the bullshit that is MTV, but with more pretension than you could ever easily digest.
