yo Ben_j, what's your method of pitch bending? meaning, how do you focus on tracks so you know which track is going off beat, and what to do with it?

See, i've got this damned problem when mixing - It's hard for me to tell which track is going off beat, and once I figure it out, I'm having problems with knowing whether it's going too fast or too slow. It's a noobish question, I know, but It just pisses me off, when I'm re-listening to the set again, and I immediately notice what went wrong, and what to do with it, but not during the set! So, it's a general WTF thing. Any thoughts?

Aaahahahaha

My advice: don't start on dnb.

Split cue helps.

Located the problem - shitty mixer. It doesn't give a clear sound (it's a scratch mixer, not good for blending) on headphones, but the recorded output is way better than what I hear in my headphones (because of my soundcard). That's why i can tell what's going wrong in the final mix (it's clear), and not quite when I play (too much noise). Problem solved!

Got my creative phase yesterday by trying a new vst plugin. So this is what I came up with. It's just an idea, not a track. The melody might be a bit long, but it's an effort of only half an hour (made at 3 o'clock in the morning). What do you think? Worth to work on?

Whoah that's nice Csar. :) Is the new VST you got making that big pad sound? That's a great sound. What VST is it? I say work on it more for sure. 8)

Hey Consumer! Thanks for that. Well, it's a vst brought by FL Studio 7 (producer Edition) called Toxic III (that pad sound) and PoiZone (that wiggling sound at the beginning).

Once the exams are over i've got sort out a lot of pieces and things i was thinking of.

Which one is it? The great "Machines in danger" or "Incoming"?

There's a word for it. Wait, i''ve got to look . . . X-D Perfect! Simply stunning! I def. can hear the new sound in the background and the breaks near the end ! Cool add on, mate! The ending itself could have been faded out a bit more.

Say, which vsts in buzz do you use for your distortion riffs in general? I mean you use them very often, which i kinda like!

And do you have any idea why my buzz prog. crashs that often when i'm trying to open it? And the site where to download the software seems not working at the moment, right?

Cheers Csar :)

I had to cut the ending because of radio time constraints.

The two main distortions I use in Buzz are the WhiteNoise StereoDist and the FireSledge Pampurfe.

If Buzz keeps crashing, try changing the compatibilty of Buzz.exe to Windows NT 4.0. Works for me.

Hey cool, works! Thanks a lot. Btw, was TripleJ asking for your tracks or how did they get to know you? Some contest thing?

Yeah it's this kind of contest where anybody that is unsigned can upload their tracks for everyone to listen to. Then the radio station has comps where judges from the radio station select the best bands/artists, then the public vote for them. You can win the chance to play at festivals or even support well known bands. They haven't had any specific dance/electronic related comps yet, mostly guitar based and some hiphop. They prefer bands/artists that can actually perform live too :)

Haha cool that it worked out for you so nicely. I once tried to take part at the Big Dayout contest on mp3.com.au but didn't win anything (never intend to X-D ). Looking on the winners i never ever had a chance. They all were rock musicians. Sadly there were no ranking chart like a top 100 or the like. Would have been nice to know in which postition i was. . .
