the dvd is probably gonna be usless in the uk. the region code is no biggie, but the ntsc tv format is a fucker!! then again ripping the disc to the computer maybe the way forward. i wonder if there are gonna be any other dvd special releases in other territories? there is normally a special release at the end of an chemical album period.

Amazon.co.uk have it much cheaper at 26.99, it's listed as Australian import but the catalogue number is the same as the Japanese one.
I also found it on 101cd.com for an amazing 15.99! They also have the US version of 'Boxer' with 7 tracks for about 6 quid.

This might not actually be true, wasn't there a point where eil said the japanese ptb album or japanese galvanize single would have rare and live tracks, when the album had giant and the special tracks on galvanize were the abe duque mixes? I won't be surprised if most of the tracks are things we've heard of already i.e. believe live and say dfa mix of boxer - maybe this release is to make up for things that have been released on the boxer here (I don't see a japanese release for the boxer)? In other words so that japanese fans get a chance to own tracks already released elsewhere.

Dunno, I've never had any problems with music dvd's in the past on my region 2 player, I think most music dvd's released outside of the US are region free anyway. That australian import is almost definetely the same as the Japanese one, as eil and amazon have the same cat no. for it. The aussies probably import them from Japan (just down the road from them innit!) and sell them onto other areas.
The boxer might just have the same b-sides as the seperate UK singles, but I'd rather have them all on one disc anyway. I've bought US import singles before that have had the same UK b-sides but on a 5 track single for example.
