I am very confused, as always when it comes to the Chemical Bro's singles. From my online shop searching there seems to be three versions of the single available...

2 track: Salmon Dance/EBW8

3 track: Salmon Dance (Radio Edit)(Original Mix)(Instrumental

3 remix track: Salmon Dance (Herve Remix)(Glimmers Remix)(Crookers Remix)

Are they all official or what? I can't get all three, that's mental.

The one I am still looking for i my hunt is that 7" with Snooprah on it. That is a toughie one to find when I have looked. It might be easy for others but not for this chemical safarist.

Wikipedia usually knows all, if you've got any concerns check there.

http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item563c6006c8

Its been up there for a while, at least a month Ryno!

Salmon Dance is one of the last that I need, (with swoon and the test) but It's been a toss up whether which one I want, but the 12 inch might be preferred, and i'm not in a hurry to pick it up because it's always been on EBay most of the time.

@Pumisher
Do you always collect 3 of every single?

The only thing there is that I am not to keen on ebay. I've done it a few times before, but it still comes down to the thrill of finding a single in a bin in some obscure record shop in random places around the world. Thanks for the heads up though. Right now it's a decision of......I am saving my money for the Fuji rock trip and the west coast tour trip.

The Salmon Dance is responsible for a big inconsistancy in my CD collection. It is the only hole where I should have a single, and with current trends I suspect it will not be the last. I no longer purchase vinyl, and I equate "owning" an mp3 in the same mindset as buying bottled water; yeah, I'll do it if it's the best thing available, by sometimes progress really sucks.

My Sammy the Salmon avatar is sad.

EDIT @ Ryno - Yeah, the thrill of the hunt is cool, but as someone that doesn't travel much I'll admit that ebay has helped me with some of the harder to find items.
Gonna work it out...

Wiki is written by people on the Internet, who I don't trust. The only trust I have is for everyone on this forum (except for Kwiddle, Jeanie and Whirly, they will only break your heart).

Snooprah?! fuck sake, now there's another complication. WHY WHY WHY! It shouldn't be this complicated. Tom, Ed, outside now, we got some things to 'talk' about.

haha quality :D I totally agree

I have loads of singles by the Chems to catch up on, and that's because of the real hassle of not knowing what single to buy.

Only if there are different tracks on every single. Without the 7" i wouldn't have snooprah. Without the 12" i wouldn't have the remixes. And without the cd-single i wouldn't have the edit-version an EBW8 (at the time when the single was released i don't know about the second disc from brotherhood...).

Aw iggy. I never meant to break your heart, man.

My collection is missing Sammy, too.

I did manage to pick up The Test on vinyl when I last went to Amoeba which was... about 3 or 4 months ago. I'm really surprised I didn't pick it up sooner, but I didn't get a turntable until this past Christmas and I'd been without a turntable for so long it never occurred to me to just, you know. Buy it on vinyl.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

I'm only limited to the records stores in my area and in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, none of these record stores specialize in Electro, House-type music, except for one that's 30 miles from where I live. The Amoeba store has a alot of pricy current releases (but not popular releases) but its lacking in the used record department cause fewer records of these genres are coming in. I carry a list with me all of the time when I go shopping but it's a snails pace finding these jems. Some days, I'll be in a record store for 5 hours going through every bin, and if I find at least 2 records, it's considered a good day to me.

Most of my purchases have been at the online stores such as Musicstack, Discogs (slow delivery + 2 claims on sellers ) , Hard to Find, and of course Ebay. 75 percent of my records are overseas instead of here in the states.
