"all I want to do is get stoned and run around in the sun!!!"....lol my weekend exactly, except instead of running in the sun, i read 1984 in the sun. :D

seems like the house in coming together somewhat pooter (duct tape lol). A more orderly house/room makes it easier to study i've found. so goodluck with it!

@Ryno: did your quoting of the chemies get you any brownie points with teh ladies? :P

Wow, campfire! Sounds like fun.

Several weeks ago,I went to Yiyuan (沂源,The name of a place.). There's a Chinese Lover's Day's recreational activity, it's very interesting.

What a joy!:D

Hola Skey!

Whirls, I am such a caveman at the house but when me and her are going out, she totally puts me in check on all the etiquette and manners stuff so I don't look like an idiot in public. We tolerate each other but she doesn't change me and visa versa. We both have our own boundaries and personal space that we never cross.

More power to the women who take their time to look good. It's worth the wait anyway.

Agree too on Satur8 post on 3# and 4#

Pooter..I'm fixing up my room as well. I got a new grey carpet so it can match better with the rest of my stuff. Plus, I got this big photo frame of Los Angeles that I got from Ikea last night..Sweet!

Off to slumber..for a 6 to 4 in the morning.

@ Jittem, More then likely yes. But not in the immediate. I met enough girls (and boys) over the weekend and got to know them well. If I continue to get to know them well that could mean I have a chance with them (not interested though) or any of there friends which is always a likely scenario. It's all about the networking people!

There looked only to be one hookup over the weekend that I noticed. They were connected to the hip all weekend. They were awesome people.

The only downer on the weekend was the wasp stings, the papercuts, the runny nose, and the sleeping in a room with 25 other people. 1 person moves across the room and you hear it! kept me up half the night at times.

As for me....interesting read on Satur8 and Whirls. Will keep in mind especially while working on Horn girl.

I'm having an "I hate AT&T" moment.

I disconnected my service last month when I moved, and they billed me for an entire month instead of only for a few pro-rated days, and also for my wireless bill which I'm now paying separately. It's $170 vs. $30.

My latest bill, which I got on Sept. 8th, said that $170 was going to come out of my checking account. I called a CSR when I got the bill, and he told me, "don't worry about it, you'll get another bill and the amount won't come out of your checking account."

Today, I called again, just to make sure, and another CSR said, "good thing you called. This was going to come out of your account along with another bill for next month."

Is it company policy for AT&T to hire incompetent retards?

I shouldn't have to actively bug a company to prevent them from overcharging me hundreds of dollars.

Good thing you followed up, 'Pooter. Stay on top of their bitch asses.

The only thing worse than AT&T's coverage is their "customer service", and they don't even care about it.

Things to keep in mind when having customers service issues with those SOB's on the phone.

1) Give yourself one hour in your day to be on the phone (don't do this at work, you won't resolve the issue in time so you better wait till you get home.)

2) When calling CS, make sure you get names of the people you are talking to, so you can always backtrack of the people you talk to.

3)Try to have them mail you a letter saying that they have corrected the issue. Another words, a new billing statement that is reflected after the situation is resolved.

4)And of course, have all your paperwork, bills, or documents nearby. And if available, have your computer online to the company website and log in to your account so that you and that schmuck on the other end of the line is looking at the same screen.

5) If the operator has an heavy accent, hang up and get another one with better english!

Remember, the AT&T logo is actually the legitimate face of their evil empire..The Death Star!

..and it looks like Andy got pulled in their Tractor Beam!

Phone companies. They always seem to be the same in what ever place you be. Here in Canada Rogers and Telus are the same with horrible CSR. Mind you I shouldn't talk since I know some of the managers in those departments. I am guessing its the same in Europe, Asia, Australia, Mars, and Gallifrey. 'Essential' services screwing up the flow.

On other notes. Why must shows always start at the start of the school year and I can't watch them. Just found out that my guilty pleasure of a show started tonight, Being Erica. Now I am watching it when I really should be reading Managerial Accounting homework. Last night it was Big Bang Theory. Damn me having an interest in certain shows. When Doctor Who comes back I'll be out to lunch.

Sorry you have had such rotten luck with AT&T, Pooter. I have heard so many bad things about them. Knock on wood - So far I have been satisfied with them, have had good help over the phone when I needed it but as with all things there's always the possibility of a technological hiccup.

Working in customer service I have to say I despise it when people who call me up automatically assume I'm some jerk who doesn't know anything about serving the customer. So they come at me screaming and yelling right off the bat. I liken my job to talking someone down from a bad acid trip, only it's far less entertaining at the end of the day.

Thankfully I handle most inquiries and issues via the written word - so there's a paper trail. It's good for the customer but it's even better for the company as it sort of serves as a written contract between business and client. But I work for a relatively small company in comparison to a corporate giant like AT&T. They may not have the luxury of working with customers via email correspondence and that's too bad. Really I think I'd rather work in a dog kennel shoveling dog crap all day rather than be a customer support rep for a large company like that.

Hmm... maybe I should consider shooting AT&T an e-mail. That may be a good idea.

@inchemwetrust: Damned good advice.

@Ryno: I haven't had network/cable TV regularly in a long, long time. Years. Like, high school. 1999. Back at my parents house. A decade.

But this doesn't mean I didn't take time to rent/buy/watch on Hulu the following: The Daily Show, Family Guy, Dexter, Six Feet Under, Heroes, Monk, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (most guilty pleasure in a long time), Carnivale, The Simpsons, and The Colbert Report.

Dexter has been the show I've been most impressed with recently. Though I've absolutely loved Heroes, too...

dexter season 4 episode 1 leaked onto the internet. its pretty good.

find it at:

most of the customer service from large scale companies in australia can be tedious. Alot of it has been outsourced to places like India.

I been watching BBT since day one Ryno. Great writing in those episodes btw. I never thought a show about geekdome culture would ever exist.

Hells Kitchen has to be my guilty pleasure for now, but don't ask me why.

@ inchemwetrust - Great advice!

@ whirly - "I liken my job to talking someone down from a bad acid trip, only it's far less entertaining at the end of the day." - Now that's funny. I work as a Help Desk analyst, which is similar to a CSR, except my bad trippers seem to think I can fix any computer issue at any time regarless of their problem or experience level. It's like you're stuck driving them home and they know what their house looks like, but can't tell you what town they live in or give you directions on how to find it.
