I never been to Homelands, but it looks like a good line up, i love Felix Da Housecat, saw him over the summer and fell in love.

homelands is one of the weaker dance festivals. which is a shame cos its not to far from where i live. plus it is set in a beautiful settings, in a natural amphitheatre. its been a few year since they had a really strong line up. the best festival for me is creamfields every time!!!

the line up looks great, and hardly any trance djs whcih im happy about :)

i think theyve gone abit over board with d'n'b but ill be steering clear of there anyway. the have an electro tent aswell!! Teifschwarz, Blackstrobe, Ewan Pearson, Tiga... s'all good

would you like me to get the dictionary out??

i have been to all but one of the festivals down at winchester, from the first year when it was creamfield and all the homelands apart from 2001. in recent years the line ups have become more dissapointing. where as you used to be spoilt for choice for which arena to go its just not the same these days. i don't know, i think darren hughes has just been trying to be to eclectic and trying to do something different to the point it just doesn't seem to work.

i still love creamfields in liverpool. it is definately the premier dance festival in the uk. when i go there i still have that feeling i could split myself in 3 and still not get to see half the people i wanted to see. i even look at the global gathering line ups in previous years and although i'm prejudice against the day glow mitsubishi logoed pill head kiddies that go to those festivals. they still manage to have 2 tents which have a solid line up.

i'm very unsure about going to homelands this year, even if the chems play. they have gotta sort their line ups out. i'd rather go and see the chems in brighton and brixton that week. at least you gonna hear the in a more intimate enviroment with a far better sound system!!

maybe its what your into, but im very much spoilt for choice with this years line up, and theres still abit more to come.

i wouldnt say its weak, cos by ur definition, the Bestival is 'weak' and that happened to be an amazing first event festival that will hopefully contune for many years to come

well one mans poision is another mans cup of tea. i do think your bending my definition of weak though, cos i dont see where bestival comes into it. its weak cos in the first 2 arenas there are only a handful of dj's i want to hear and maybe a couple in arena 5. i just know with that line up at homelands there will be times when there is no one i want to see. and i'll probably go home early like i have the last 2 years at homelands. its a shame cos i love to keep dancing till 6 am!! its a million miles of looking like its worth 60 at the mo.

I think last year Global had a better line up than homelands in terms of a variation of different djs, however i prefered homelands for the reason that it wasnt full of scum bags ,townies chavs on pills.

BECK FOR HOMELANDS

Leftfield superstar Beck is to make his only confirmed UK festival appearance of the year at We Love Homelands 2005. Already shaping up as one of the best festival bills of the summer, the ultimate post-modern popstar will join a stellar line-up that so far includes The Streets, The Bravery and The Human League.
