Ok, so i just bought we are the night on vinyl. I was a little disappointed that it was in one sleeve, as opposed to the record case that has a separate sleeve for the two disks, and then equally disappointed about how thin the vinyl felt.... that was nothing.... I was listening to the salmon dance and then it hit me, this has the worst sound ever. I immediately put on the cd (cd as in what was on my itunes) and the bass was soooooo much richer on itunes... WTF is going on?!?!?! any one else have this problem?

Interesting. My vinyl is like 3 disks. Putting an hour's worth of content on a single record is going to have awful high frequency roll-off the further into a side you get

I should also point out that every other chem vinyl I have, including the dust brothers vinyl, sounds 10,000x better

Mine is 2 discs too and I was also astounded by their thinness and by the fragileness of the sleeves but I don't find the sound that bad (well I rarely find the sound of a record bad so I guess my opinion doesn't count).

its not bad, but if you're used to really letting the sound permeate your body, this just doesn't cut it.... hard to describe.... i describe it as crap and lacking richness....

3LP is the heavyweight promo in great shape:
http://www.discogs.c...release/1004337

2LP is what you could get in the shops:
http://www.discogs.c...release/1007909

there's also a US-2LP on astralwerks:
http://www.discogs.c...release/1610241

probably you might have one of those with a less rich sound quality. just check the label and let us know. I strongly recommend the 3LP version, also have this one, you can get for 20 quid or so on discogs marketplace, also on eBay quite regularly
love is all.

I don't have it in front of me at the moment, but I do remember it being an astralwerks version, but most of mine are and there's no problem... I'm going to try to snag the 3LP version.
