Bravo on your historic journey on these boards!

BTW, You get the free lap dance from any forum member when you get to 14!

In other craptacular news, My car went out last night! Happened when I came out of the market (plus rainy that day), but when I turned the key, i just heard click, click, click! Luckily, my bro in law came in with the save, so I have to replace the starter tomorrow morning! And just two hours before that, I was browsing some nice rides at a dealership!

One more thing, remember my roommate who passed away? Check this out: We got our bill from ATT, and he ordered around 150 dollars worth of porn from InDemand tv! Me and my other roommate laughed about it because he didn't seem the type of person who would order scrappy porn when he was at least 'hitting it' each and every other day! 'scratches head'

Hilarious m*ther f*cker.

@inchemwetrust: Glad your car is working again, man. :D

I'm still hanging in there with my advertising classes. I'm nearly done with the courses but I feel only a quarter of the way to where I need to be, in order to get my portfolio together. The ideas and concepts are there but nothing is really completed.

Last semester was a teams course (I was paired with an art director) but unfortunately it was a bust because my partner got slammed with some personal issues so he had to bail class. So I was on my own and I was really stressed about it, and a bit bummed out. So I took the teams class again and now I have an awesome partner to work with so it's all good. She's pretty amazing and I feel so inspired when we're working together hashing out ideas. Still debating on whether I want to take the next teams course. I'm holding out for a strictly copy writing class which will happen depending on enrollment. So my fingers are crossed.

Other than that my job's a drag and the dreaded holidays are coming up which is never a fun time for anyone trapped in customer service! :P

Building the portfolio is a process, but you might want to ask your instructor(s) what he or she thinks if your portfolio is good to go, or even
have enough work to show to potential employers.

CS by the way has been pretty much under the radar in my parts! It's been slow at work, except on weekends. I'm just a little focused on the scam alerts our company is getting, and the Black Friday scenario!

Oh I know for sure my portfolio is not even close to presentable! I'm familiar with the portfolio process as I used to be an art major years ago. I also have a portfolio of stuff I did as a display artist for Tower. What I'm doing now is so much different... advertising concepting is such a different game, a different process all together. I can't use any of my previous art stuff to get a copy writing job, because my previous stuff has absolutely nothing to do with advertising in any way. I guess if I were banking on my previous stuff I'd be bummed but it's kind of nice to have a clean slate and start from scratch.

The ideas and concepts I've been tasked with over the past year are there, on paper even - but the finished product is not. I can draw pretty pictures and write some fluffy copy, but I need an art director with ad experience to help me attain some finished product to present. I'm closer than I was a year ago but just not there yet...

Yes. There was a baby joke worked into a 9/11 joke. Pretty f*cking fantastic. I actually managed to insult him outside of the club. :D

Me: Dude, I would love to give you more material for future gigs, but I learned long ago that you don't feed the trolls.

Jeselnik: ::laughs:: ::pauses:: ::slightly annoyed:: I like that you just called me a troll.

Me: ::laughs:: Well, if anyone could take it, it'd be you.

...

Also: the Weekend Starts Here clip will be copyrighted. ;-) Oh, wait... quote? The words themselves won't be copyrighted. I don't think they are likely trademarked... Be a tough one to actually trademark.

Good luck on getting it all done Whirls!!! YOU CAN DO I BECAUSE YOU'RE AWESOME AND AMAZING AND BECAUSE YOU'RE WHIRLYGIRL! SAVIOR OF HUMANITY OR AT LEAST THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS FORUM!!! <3 <3 <3

I'm drinking coffee at 4:00 p.m. in an attempt to get things done for the next 4 hours before going out tonight. LOTS of outlining to do, and finishing up a memo for the EFF on how to oppose a motion for summary judgment in a case against the National Security Administration, Central Intelligence Agency, Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation demanding the release of documents under the Freedom of Information Act.

I didn't plan on showing this to anyone, but my misses and I laughed so much while I made it, I hope you find it funny.

It is an assignment I have done for a flash animation unit I am doing at uni. It was supposed to tell a story about "transformation: the process of change". Most people would do some sort of graphical transformation, eg, caterpillar/butterfly type thing, but I wanted to do something outside the box, so mine is on transformation/change in dance and music.

Before you watch it I must apologise, firstly to Tom and Ed, very sorry  And to their fans, I know it is way wrong, timing is out, animation is pretty crap, and I am no musician so my music is bad too, I can at least hope for some laughs.
