Its Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel De Homem Christo that make up Daft Punk. As stated I loved homework and hated discovery.

I personally like their own productions much better than the Discovery stuff. The album was bogged down with piece of shit shit vocals. If you like french house you have to check out the stuff off Crydamoure (Guy-Manuel's label and Eric Chedeville's label).

Be sure to check out the Le Knight Club stuff as that is Guy-Manuel's work with his brother. And then then Roul is Thomas Bangalter label and also has some great stuff.

I would personally love to see more of their solo own personal work with each of their labels, and less of the Daft Punk stuff.

DJ Falcon produces with Thomas as Sneakerbeater said, but together they are usually just Thomas Bangalter and DJ Falcon, he has some releases off Roul. Like Hello My Name Is.

If you like this sound check out: Raw Man, Buffalo Bunch, Archigram, Alan Braxe, Sedat (you may know him as Billy Lo if your into house).

Im looking forward to hearing this DJ Flacon and Bangalter promo.

I can't say I was impressed with The Chem's album to be honest, I didn't like Fatboy's album, I thought the Prodigy album was horrible, and well I won't be suprised if Human After All gets tacked on lol. But I wouldnt be suprised if most people liked it here, so many seem to be anti 4/4 or house.

And Superheros, that track was a disaster, I can't think of one good thing to say about that song OHHoooOHHE YEAHH or not.

*also misses DYOH/Surrender days*

Yes You have right. You see this too!!! Fatboy's new album is banal, especially Slash Dot Dash Dot song - booooring. Prodigy is not that bad , but it is copying of their old ideas, all the same rhythms and so on. PTB is also not that powerful like DYOH or SURRENDER or even Come With Us. I'am now waitong for new stuf from Daft Punk and Nine Inch Nails. Wish me i will not be disapointed ;)

What's wrong with Superheroes? I think it's a pretty good tune, equally good as everything else on Discovery. Ok, so only just over half of Discovery is good, but Superheroes is included in the good part.

I'll get the new Daft Punk album when it comes out, I like the idea of it being rockier/grittier than their previous albums.

I love Archigram's - Carnival on Crydamore its a quality sunshine tune :D

here, so many seem to be anti 4/4 or house.

House music is my first love, its only through listening to house that i ever got into the chemical brothers, house has got a lot of soul, it makes me happy like nothing else can. :D

archigram's carnival is a fine piece of work!!! nice to see some people on here that believe in a good 4/4 beat!!

negative_space where have you been when we are all discussing homework and discovery. us homework lovers seem to be in the minority on here which is just crazy (and that statement should not be used to start this discussion again for the x time)

Look a few posts back ;)

I have been discussing my displeasure of Discovery, I love homework, such a good album. I love the raw sound of the 909, sampled rhythms and sounds.

Hmmm... I don't know, I really liked the first 4 and face to face on Discovery... which is like half of the songs. Im glad they are going in a grittier direction, like home work except with alot more instrumental samples. I think it might be the right direction to go. My only question is WTF have they been doing for all those years inbetween discovery and recording?

i wasnt i huge fan of either homework or discovery but there were definitly more tunes on homework that i dug. i heard a little bit of the first single robot rock and it sounds pretty good actually. its got some crunchy guitars and a good beat but we'll see about the rest of the album......
