im really enjoying this thread now, i thinks thats cause im ill and cant eat nice food at the mo.

Maybe a silly question whirly but is there alot of indian food in America. I love it how its the uk theres so many indian resurants.

Alot of people say that in india the food they eat isnt quite as spicey as the typical curry you would get over here, dunno if thats true or not.

Aw, I hope you feel better soon. Nothing wrecks a weekend more than being sick!

Where I live there's not a whole lot of Indian food. There's one fairly nice yet pricey restaurant in my town, and the cheaper place I make an effort to frequent is a couple towns over from me.

We have a nice variety of restaurants in my town, because it's a city fueled by lots of tourism, but I still live in sprawling suburbia - very spread out pockets of ethnicity (not counting Latinos, the culture is very much ingrained in Californian culture) Primarily there are a ton of Mexican places to choose from, and decent amounts of Asain and Italian fare. Anything more unusual like Indian, Mid East, African, etc. you have to make an effort to find. The closer you get to the major cities where everything is closer to get to and the pockets of ethnicity are more pronounced, the easier it is to find more unusual places to eat.

thought i would but some fuel into this thread and ask what the brothers fave meal is in that case. On the dvd there music is described as a 'meat ball sandwhich'.

I wanna open a place that does Indian wraps.... you take a big piece of naan bread, put some chicken tikka, or vindaloo, or korma, and then maybe some lentils or some saag paneer, a little raita, roll it all up and eat it like a sub.... I'd make a fortune, people are suckers for hand held food.

Whirly actually quit being a vegetarian and started eating fish so she could have fish and chips when we're there... she hasn't eaten it in like almost 7 years.

oh yeah, totally.... Free Indian Wraps for ALL chemical brothers fans....

I need to own a restaurant.

I had another idea for a place, nothing I would eat, but I figure it would be HUGE in the American South:

Deep fried hamburgers.

Take a whole burger, with all the trimmings, dip it in batter, deep fry it and serve it with ranch dressing. The butter-trolls from the red states would eat that shit up... plus, I'd be helping give conservatives heart attacks, so it would be socially responsible too!
