Pics of what is inside the pyramid, that confirms what Thomas Bangalter said (Moog Voyager and BCR2000s) :

It looks so poor and shitty compared to the Chemical Mothership.

Their new red LED suits looks pretty good tho'.

according to Thomas, most of the gear is outside the pyramid, backstage. Dunno what gear it is though... And I guess they bring their MacBook themselves right before the show begins. It would be unsafe to let them there the whole time...

PNX... you are thinking of the BCD3000, which is a DJ controller. Our VJ has hacked the firmware of one to use the wheels as scrub wheels for Resolume. The BCR's are midi controllers and very good units.

Acidchildren why are you surprised? BCR's are sturdy and do the job. They last better then Bitsream 3X's and if you just need knobs alone i suppose you could buy a bunch of Faderfoxes but theres nothing bad about the BCR at all. We've gigged ours relentlessly and its good as the other gear over a year down the track.

As for these pics... no surprise. I don't really want to get into the whole "whats a live act do" conversation but i don't think anyone really expect DP to be doing much up there. Stadium electronic is a lot different to club electronic for live acts.

very minimal... not really the whole studio but they do good love shows so who cares, could be a guy and banjo, just so long as they're actually playing

Yes segwist, you're right. I've a BCR2000 MIDI Controller, and now I use it with Traktor. I'm going to replace it with a BCD3000 unit. ;)
