Holy Fuck! So so so good, the best live show ive ever witnessed and dare I say it the best live show the chems have ever done!

Arrived outside the venue around 7ish after driving up from Portsmouth. The area was swarming with people all with the pre chems buzz. When I saw Olympia from the outside I really did know this was a special occasion and a special moment in Chemical and music history!

Arrive inside the venue and instantally recognised it as the surrender cover, it felt proper techno, like a proper warehouse rave venue. Erol was playing, he wasnt bad, quite rocky and fuzzy, he did however play H.I.A. which got the crowd into a frenzy.

Chems...

Tomorrow Never Knows - Felt great as the crowd knew it and was good to here it return to the set.

Galvanise - full on acid, as the vocal kicked the place went mad!

Burst Generator - quality.

Do It Again - Brilliant with the visuals.

Get Yourself High - just vocal snips.

Hey Boy Hey Girl - I turned to my friend and said it didnt get any better than this, they dragged out the intro to the track for a long time before kicking it in, deffo a highlight of the set!

Midnight Madness - lovely track, liked the live version very much!

Dont Fight Control - good to here those vintage chemical sounds.

It Doesn't Matter/Under the influnece - acid version, the orange robots looked shit hot!

Temptation/Star Guitar

Surface To Air - visuals were great.

Saturate - the crowd loved it.

Acid Children - just the vocal, good to see our clown friend again.

Believe - the only average track of the night.

We are the night - not full version.

Pills Wont Help You Now - quality live, it was very different to the album, kinda a breaks version with some phat slabs and a great break beat, worked very well live.

Golden Path - the lazer were great.

Come With Us - Just the vocals, however was a special moment to here it, myself and mike hugged each other as this is a very special chems track.

Leave Home - quality.

Chemical Beats - Deffo Playing this when I next dj!

Sunshine Underground - A perfect end to a perfect evening, the track builds really well, it was cool as there was some face visuals on the screen, behind the stage was in blue, with a full on lazer display.

All in all I think it was the perfect chems gig, magical venue, brilliant vibe and an excellent set. Being there was special, I would go as far as saying it felt like being part of Surrender

totally at peace with the music.

Thank Ed and Tom, total ledgends, see you at south bank!

Love is all!

Stood a few metres forward of the the sound desk (anyone notice the set of mics and video camera? hope there's a live dvd coming). Think this was perfect as you could see all the visuals and the sound was massive. I've been at the front before and that was awesome but people get a bit wierd like the 'dont touch me' guy and you get squashed.

There was something special about this gig, the venue, the size, the atmosphere. Probably the best gig I've ever been to.

Took my mate emma for her first chems outing and she was blown away... she's one of their children now!

Damn sneaker - would have given you a description of myself had I known!

In any case, I was with another guy who is pretty huge and was wearing a bright yellow t-shirt if that is any help.

Or... you weren't the guy who said to me "are there any drugs that that guy isn't selling!?" - classic line!

I had a wicked time, Although i thought it ended all too soon! It was amazing when Tom and Ed came on, atmosphere was electric, although bit disappointed with the way it ended then lights up, people out straight away, Just didn't seem final!

Had a top night though, really glad i finally got tickets for it :)

Well tbh...of course it is still horrible dealing with the fact i wasnt there...but it looks like...dare I say it...the same similar set that I witnessed 9 times over the past year and a half so not quite so gutted that I couldnt make the 20,000 mile round trip and be a further $5000 worse off following the Glasto trip earlier this summer...and therefore forfeiting being able to go to Olympia. BUT...would loved to have seen it all over again for the tenth time!

Would be bloody bloody ace to have a live dvd of all the utterly amazing visuals that have a very special place in my heart for so many reasons that I saw so many times in so many different places last year and this one.

What was the atmosphere like in the crowd? Was it mainly fans or was there a noticeable amount of first timers?

The self imposed exile from the boys can officially end...its September 1st here in Oz now and I will be heading to JBs Hi-Fi first thing in the morning to hand over dollars for the new album.

Did much the same thing nearly 4 years ago with PTB! At the same shop in Sydney! Cool!

MORE REPORTS PLEASE!!!

LUCY -

were a good mix of old faithful chemical fans, alot of which iwere familiar from other gigs, homelands in the past etc but then there were quite a few newbies too, It was funny how many people were so fixated on the screen too! One girl to my right said it was her first time, and i was dancing through the entire night but she was just stood there and said she wanted to move about but didn't wanna miss anything on the screen! ahah! they are like that though aren't they! Proper trippy at times. I met a husband and wife too, who were in there 50's and trying to find their youth now their own kids had left home. It was their first time too, and they were so in the zone! There were some very young'uns muddled in too (With parents of course!) I'm 23, and i'm talking probably 14-15 year olds, Great mix of people, No trouble - Just a lot of love in the room!XXX

I was one of the newbies! So I have nothing to compare it to, but it was one awesome gig. Are those visuals typical of a Chemical Brothers gig? They were incredible! Completely mesmerising.

BEL - Yes they are, very much so! Its a typical visual/aural combo they have going on, Have a look on Youtube or on the BBC I player and you'll see some of there best. I recommend catching them at a festival, fields add to the trippiness of their visuals! Look up Glastonbury & i think T in the Park was another good one :)

The first time i saw them i was 14 and they only get better!!

was a really good night although the set wasn't anything special in terms of new stuff, the same as trafalga from what i can gather and brixton brginning off the year/end of last year? Decent crowd, the odd annoying person bumping into you constantly but a general good vibe. Not too packed at the front, was about 15-20 foot from the front. Danced around a group of lads who all made the effort of coming dressed as the clowns.

Shame about the ending time as that leaves a lot of time to wait for the first train in the morning which should have been 8.20ish but ended up being 11ish. First couple of hours spent walking round london not able to get into The End and haveing forgotten which 2nd left it is to get to farringdon from kings cross!!!! Then trying to figure out how to put money on your ouster card at bus stops- which you can't!!!! Finally managed to find Fabric at about 4 and only £8 after that to get in, stopped till 7 then went to Euston waiting round like a twat. Fabric was nice but still prefer Turnmills. Olympia was the first gig ever where i wasn't asked once if i had any/wanted any/was on any/ or knew of anyone who on/had or knew sombody who had drugs. In Fabric off course you did, and everyone seemed transfixed on the idea of me carrying a poster round with me whilst dancing. That's my review, and no EBW6 wasn't played, you just had the visuals for it.
