I'm kind of amazed that he still manages to have relevance! Impressive, really. I didn't like Palookaville, for the most part. I wanted to, but didn't. He doesn't seem to be trying to put out albums these days--from what I can tell it's just been this new track and Machines Can Do the Work recently, which is fine, really. Better to put out a couple of good tracks than an album full of mediocre ones.
Anyone seen any of his DJ sets recently? I caught the last half or so of his set a year and a half ago when he played alongside Deadmau5 here in SF. Rather enjoyable dancing was had by all.

Nah, he has only been releasing stuff with other producers (Riva Starr, Hervé...) and except for Machines can do the work (that sounds like a Hervé track, so that must be why I like it) what he released was quite bad. Did he forget how to do something on his own ? And what's with all those remixes ? Leave those tracks in the past, no remix can do them honour...

Some people work best with other people. There are a number of people in here who seem to agree that Tom & Ed work best together.
Lots of people work with others to produce albums... I don't know if I'd hold that against him. And hey--if it means we get more great electronic music tracks, I'm all for it.
Notwithstanding that, I still can't get over how huge of a decline there was from Gutter & the Stars to Palookaville... :-/

I'm not crazy about this new track either, though the remix sounds surprisingly decent.

i saw him do this 3 dj's thing at glasto once with emerson and timo maas and it was the shittest thing i have ever witnessed in that dance tent, so we went and saw carl cox in this mini tent and it was immense.

I wasn't terribly thrilled with Palookaville when it first came out but there are some tracks that surprisingly grew on me over time, and struck a more personal chord with me (like Put It Back Together is a good example). I suppose it is more a reflection on where I was at the time than where I wanted the music to fit into my life. But I guess the same can be said for all music.
I saw Fatboy once at Coachella in 2001. He played a DJ set right before the Chems took over the decks. it was a fun set and his fans were crazy fun. He was a tough act to follow and this was (IMO) at a time where a lot of people would say he peaked in his prime. I wouldn't mind seeing him again but I sort of, eh... blew my wad getting to see him play back to back with Tom and Ed. it couldn't get any better than that. So I'm good with the memories I have.
I'll always have a soft spot for Norman, even if he doesn't put out music that pleases me as much as his older stuff.

He's still amazing. He's just doing his thing. I feel he has some more amazing stuff coming.

It was a project that Fatboy Slim did a few years ago and it had one album: I Think We're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat
