I still hear you guys complain about people downloading the album but it's okay to up/download illegal live performances and dj sets? Very disappointing...

my point of view is simple, they arent losing any money from the live sets. the stuff is mostly recorded unprofessionally and therefore lower quality than say, a commercially released live cd. i know that most people who have these live gigs would easily pay money, to record company or other, to get hold of these live gigs at high quality. I will pormise this, if the chems release their live gigs on cds i will stop thechemicalbrotherslive@gmail.com trading.

Slipvin, if I could buy these sets I would. Man, I would pay $100 for a cd or 2 of one of their new live sets professionally recorded. But it's not available. Plus, the only good quality sets are ones that are broadcast free for anyone on radio anyway (like the Chile set) and there's no way to buy it. Everytime the Chems come to Australia I will pay to see them, but until then, I don't see a problem with listening to a bootleg recording of one of their sets.

I'd be afraid if someone next to me at a gig was recording a set, they'd get me saying stupid shit like "ooooooooh, nice!!!!! oooooooooh my gawd! oooooooooooh shit that clown owns me!!! ooooooooooooooooh did you feel that bass?"

And I'd ruin it for everyone. :(

Write down our nicks.

If you see somebody that's recording it, get close to him/her and start saying our nicks. :P

Don't tell me this isn't a good idea. X-D

Its not worth trying to recod a gig, unless you are at the front of a seating area so you can keep it still and un muffled from people bashing in to you.

X-D That pretty much sums up what involuntarily comes out of my mouth at a Chems gig!

Last time I saw them, I was so completely into it. Their intros and outtros really blew my mind, they were such incredibly smooth transitions from song to song, and they did it in such a way that was really epic, these really slow long builds. I kept saying, "oh yeah... wait for it... wait for it... yeah!!! Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!!! Aw yeah, that was good" and so on.

Don't worry, mx. Like iggy said earlier, you won't be alone, you'll be with your new Chemical brothers and sisters. Trust me you won't be the only one shouting and screaming! If you are, I'd have to ask what in the hell is wrong with the crowd!

whirlygirl and iguanapunk are right mx: I was "alone" at 2 Chems gigs, but believe me I wasn't alone once the music started. Not by a long shot! :)

they don't lose any money when fans downloading the sets. plus, most of us have seen them live as well and paid quite big amounts to see them (incl. transfer, journey, hotels etc.). it's better to download a set as if you go to some bootleggers who make money with sets
love is all.

for my 1st chems gig, i was there alone as well. it's so easy to meet good people there. it's all brothers and sisters (most of them, excluding some bottle-throwing idiots)
love is all.

lol my second ever chems gig was at the big day out in auckland and, as most festie veterans will appreciate, i lost all my mates during the course of the afternoon. Fortunately I met a friendly pair of blokes, outside the dance tent during a blinding set by Basement Jaxx, who were all too happy to share their ounce of cabbage with me, so by the time the Chems hit the stage I was stuck amongst several thousand strangers but dancing with every one of them like we were all best mates! :D

Don't you just love that when strangers dancem with eachother :D At the 19th chems gig suddenly some guy and girl grabbed my hand and we were standing there hand in hand with our arms up that was so cool hahaha. I LOVE that feeling of...i dont know the english word. But when you are all feeling like one you know , when you feel like everyone is with you you know. And also at the D'n B party i was last week , everybody was just dacing with eachother , this awesome black girl who worked there came up to me , but her glasses with beer down , danced CRAZY with me for about 5 minutes , thanked me and continued her work hahaha.
