man, whilst it is a pretty expensive ticket compared to last time they were here (i tihnk 75 bux?) when you have to pay 120 for tool tickets and 160 for chilil peppers tickets, it isn't TOO bad.
but yeah this going to be one expensive exersise... plane tickets... lame. i hate flying.

yeah i was stupid enough to get up and line up for tickets at 5 this morning, and no one joined me and my two mates... i thought there would at least be a few an hour or so before 9. i misjudged, kinda embarrasing now i tihnk of it, but its always fun getting all excited outside a ticket seller. it makes it all real.
syd standing has sold out too, crazy.

You lined up? IRL? You know they sell tickets on the internet?
Yeah GA sold out fast but to be honest, GA can GGF. I saw them years back at Festival Hall, before it was demolished, and seating was perfect. The kids crushed together unable to dance milled about whilst we had an awesome vantage point and could jump and backflip all we wanted. It won. Juan. Obi wan.
Count down to the FMF announcement ;)

Hey Segwist :)
So do you think we'll really be able to get up and dance in seating? I went and saw The Cure at Rod Laver last month and they wouldn't let us stand up at our seats....kinda ruined the experience when you could only sit and tap your foot! Gotta love the view from the stands though! I'm torn as to whether GA is a good move or not.....

What?? That's just crazy that you're expected to sit at a concert.
Well - I hope for everyone in the stands, security will ease up a bit so you can at least stand. Only being able to tap your foot while sitting down at a Chems show sounds like torture.

I had the same in NYC when i went to see the Prodigy! In the Nokia theatre.
I was forced to go down into the moshpit if i wanted to dance. I fell on the stairs and nearly broke my leg , i've never been in so much pain , i actually thought it was broken, i got all dizzy and shit.
All because you cannot dance in the seated area!

Stupid?? No way, dude. Not in my book. You have my respect. Lining up for tickets is old skool.
It's what we all did back in the day... I spent my fair share of time lining up and camping out for tickets once upon a time. It adds to the whole experience, in my opinion.

oh it totally adds to the experience. from the moment that announcement occurs, thats when the experience begins, and me sitting out on the street in the cold at 6 am with we are the night obnoxiously blasting next to me getting excited about those tickets is a much fonder memory of this time of my life than it would have been had i woken up at 8:45, made some coffee, walked over to my pc, and hit buy.
lining up is always the way. even with the mars volta, and they didn't sell out at all.

Can you buy tix for the Aussie shows from the UK? How do you sort the tix out? Can you do collection at venue?
More questions...if I cant buy tix from Blighty...what is the tout/spares selling sitch like in Oz? I cant remember whether there were touts at Hordern Pavillion in 05. I still havent decided on which country to head to in the new year...but whichever one I do out of Oz and NZ, I WILL be catching the Chems somewhere!
