okay people where do you think galvanize will go into the chart at next week?? every one guess a different position and next week we will find out who the winner amongst the loosers is. the radio one top 40 will be the official chart for this.
i reckon #12
it received a lot of support from radio one and won a lot of fans who don't normally percive themselves as fans of the chems music. the first single of the album traditionally does very well in the chart. galvanize has had no support from local radio stations, nothing new there!!!
i also think push the button will go #1

In the US Billboard Hot 100, I don't know. I really don't know, it's hard to say.
But as far as the US Billboard Dance Charts go, I think Galvanize will rank high, it's been getting airplay and people are asking for it. I think Push the Button will rank high, too. I look at the Billboard charts every week because I have to post them throughout my store - and I remember the Singles being on the charts a good long time. I don't think it peaked at #1, but it hovered in the top 10 for a while before eventually sliding off the charts.
For a Singles collective, I was pretty impressed.
It also brings up something else regarding Galvanize that happened to me yesterday.
I was counting out my register and I got a call from a coworker. Apparently someone was in the dance section of the store and they had a Chemical Brothers question, and since I'm the go-to person as far as Chems go... Unfortunately, because I was counting a big wad of cash, I couldn't just leave to help the customer, so my coworker came back to relay the question. They wanted to know what song the Chems did with Q-Tip, when it was coming out (we didn't get any imports of the song in... damn!) and when the Chems record was coming out.
Of course I was more than happy to give the answers. :D Always glad to be of service, pimping out the Chems and doing my part to promote Push the Button!!

I believe Elvis (who has the current no1) is releasing another record this week so Chems going all the way looks doubtful.
wonder if chems wil make the 1001 chart topping record. Its possible could be 1000, thats if whoever is 999 stays at the top another week.

Push The Button will hit number 1 at some point. It may take the release of the second single to do it, but remember Surrender was in the top 40 for ages. I think Push The Button will do the same.
Btw, I've done my bit for Galvanise - picked up CD1 about 20 minutes ago! Couldn't get CD2, they didn't stock it }:-@
