and the chems came..... 138th!!!

well i don't want to hear people whingeing that they dessrve to be higher!! they are not the most prolific dj's, it's not their fulltime job. it just think its cool they make the list. i would be more pissed if the came 138th for best dance band. if you ask me the chems are in good company in the 100 to 150 bracket.

102, josh wink

114 tom stephan

123 masters at work

128 francois kervorkian

146 layo & bushwacker

148 frankie knucles (the godfather of house at 148 !!!)

the dj poll always seems to upset people. it always seems to cater for the progressive and trace crowd (i think we have our european friends to thank for that!!). the top ten dj i wouldn't even entertain abusing my ears with!! i read on other forums how this dj and that dj deserve to have done better. but at the end of the day people know who the rate, so who cares about a silly poll??

the rest of the list

agreed mate it is a is a bit daft.....

I think the chems are brilliant DJ's - not in technical James Zabiela beat mixing/FX wizard sorta way but in the old school "playing great records to create an atmosphere/mood"....

yeah they're not your jobbing dj's but I spose it would have been nice to see them furher up the list....but then again it's a matter of tatse I spose....

I have to say though, there are very few dj's I enjoy in the top 50...VERY few.....my choice would have been derrick carter I think.....

I did read the mag in smiths yesterday and I nearly fell over when I read morrilos comments

Name something weird that happened this year

"my single not getting in the top 40"

I really hope that was a joke......captain penis

good old morillo. always full of himself, that guy certainly dosen't lack confidance!! still when i can command 10,000 to play in maidstone for 2 hours i'll be a bit more cocky.

morillo certainly is a party dj, love the style of his mixing. but i think he should be a bit more realistic about his production. i got his 'my world' album and it was a complete dissapointment. and the 'break down the door' tune is nothing special. it might have been better without the audio bullys, i fucking hate them guys, they make me sooo angry!!!!!!!

Alright, I can see your point about MC's, especially the track suit wearing bastards but if you try to look past that, their music is fantastic.

Shame, I heard DJ Touch DJ, he was banging, probably the best DJ i've heard, all his tunes were pumping, the whole tent where jumping and still they offer me drugs.

Yeah i spose chems 138 is ok considering the lack of djs set they have played this year. They would be top if it were a live dance acts pole. I allways think the dj mag pole would of been better if it was top 100djs/producers/lives acts.

Erick Morillio is really good i think, he mayb be full of himself but he has alot of good reasons to be, his sets are never boring and hes pushing the boundaries in his mixing skills and technology he use.

As for Audio Bullys ive seen them live twice(Brilliant warm up for the Jaxx) and got there album and a mix by them, i feel there sound is very fresh. Im not over keen on Mcs but the bullys piss all over alot of d&b Mcs and the likes of Mike Skinner.

Yes i like touch saw him at the boutique and he pumped it!

No no, don't listen to Thor! ;)

For someone just getting into electronic music, it might be a good idea to hear what dj's are mixing!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle
