At least someone turned the volume up for the chems! I could hadly hear Calvin Harris who tried his best but the set didn't really happen. Chemical highlight for me was Leave home. Most of the visuals though were from the Chems live shows this year. Anybody spot many differences?

The visuals for the encore of the Chemical Brothers set was in 3D - we were on the front rail though so it didn't really work very well right up close.

Hey sounds like it wasn't as legendary as I thought... No new visuals (appart from Star Guitar) no Kylie, and no Sunshine Underground :(

I can't wait til Le Zenith 2 !

I had a great time. Nothing like seeing The Chemical Brothers for free in the middle of Trafalgar Square! The best was the encore, great version of Hold Tight London (which I think is the same version they played at Fabric earlier this year) and Leave Home then Block Rockin Beats.

Tried to catch up with apumpkin but it was very very crowded! Next time Cesare. Then on the way out I bumped into Acidchildren and his entourage.

Great night! Bring on Brixton!

Sneaker, if your still doing darksessions in the newly revamp Vamps (called Remix now I think) could possibly pop in as I have mates in Woking.

Last night was mad!! Especially the geezer who straddled one of the statues in the left hand fountain and was throwin' some shapes....till the security guard stopped him...lol.

What was it being filmed for? DVD or telly?

Well just home and before I say anything may I apologise to everyone for not being at the pyke, well we were in the pyke but we left at around 2:30pm and went down to whitehall to see the set up and we just stayed in the boozers down there and got a bite to eat and then over to tesco's and got 12 ciders and sat up the gallery green ;-)

any ways back to the gig we thought it was fuckin rockin we danced and jumped about from the minute we got there til we left ;-) and we were at the left fountain at the front and yes you are right the bar was shocking. we only managed to get 2 pints each :-( I thought calvin Harris was good too but to be fair it was the Chems everyone was interested in and boy dod they do good.

;-) Wullie

That was SUCH AN AMAZING NIGHT! So many of us all managed to meet up and it was so ace to watch the show with the core of the crew! The number of spare tix flying around started to get silly! Having the extreme insider knowledge from the horse's mouth of 'stand in front of the speakers, the show is gonna be a quiet one' helped a lot and tbh, it was more than loud enough where we were standing!

Knowing the set like the back of my hand now actually made it better for me. I went in thinking 'I hope its not the same set they've been playing all summer' but listening out to the slight tweaks and differences and the anticipation for some of the tunes got a bit out of hand in my world! (As any of you lot standing close no doubt noticed)...sorry!

BUT it was the encore that utterly UTTERLY made my night! I could see a few bemused faces around me as the encore started wondering what was starting but I knew instantly what it was...cos it could only be one thing! And I had my ear tuned like a bat to any hint of that voice! On went the mobile phone camera and yay...I have Hold Tight London...THE PTB TOUR VERSION safely stashed on my laptop now!

Today has been a good day. I have spent my entire day utterly shattered (did a full day of work at the NHM on Sunday, and was on my feet for 14 solid hours and dancing on solid stone has fucked my legs up really badly!) BUT in my head it has been a Chemical Brothers jukebox on loop since the moment I woke up! Never had a day after a concert quite like that. Loving it!!!

So cool to meet you all, some again and others for the first time. Big respect to the long distance travellers who made their way to the show. See you sometime soon either at Brighton, Brixton, both and fingers crossed Tunrmills at New Year!!!

Oh and I took 200 photos of the visuals on my phone, havent looked at em yet but I reckon they'll all have come out ok.

And HUGE apologies for the state of Dave! Glad he got the message and went wherever he went after being way too drunk for us all to deal with. He was supposed to be starting his first job in 2 and half years today! Yeeeeeeessssssssss weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllll! I wait to hear the news from that. His state meant that the guy whose spare ticket he had in his pocket had to listen to the show from outside!!! Bad form!

Great show, great meet up, great day in general, wicked to rave with the whole forum lot. Was already quite drunk even before we entered the venue thingy so my memory is all blurry.

Great set!!! Hold tihgt london, Leave Home & Block rockin beats as encore!! Wow great one.

Was it crowded? 9000 peeps on that square sounds a little packed. I hope the fulle set will be aired on BBC 4. Any info bout that?

Nice one for anyone who was up there.

Amazing set! I think that was my favourite Chems gig of all time. Good to see some familiar faces (waves to Jeanie, Acidchildren, Chemicalsfan, Mippio, Lucy, Scooby) and lots of new ones too. :)

Joslyn, nine thousand fitted in there just fine. I've been on several demos in the past where 80,000+ have fitted in the square, so it was just fine.

Jeanie, I so agree. Star Guitar is one of my Chems highlights these days.

And yesssssss, thanks for the ROBOTS!

Jeanie...Starguitar...I wholly agree with you. I have this theory/thing...I know I have had a great Chems experience if Starguitar makes every nerve ending in my body explode with the strongest rush you can possibly think of. Rockness...nada...Glasto and last night...ubertingletastic! And many others before!

First time I ever heard it I went very strange too...NYE Turnmills 01!

What a great day and an amazing night. Was lovely to meet up with some old faces as well as a lot of new faces

Big thank you to Kev and Barry, you made my day and night memorable and to Kev for the gibber gabber chat outside the bar afterwards (sorry dont know your forum nickname but you know who you are)

For me it was "Out of Control" that made my night followed by the encore that was just awesome

So thanks to everyone and Kev hopefully see you at Brixton on the 14th December but if not keep in touch :)

Ah, was a very pleasant evening indeed. So many highlights. I'd been hoping to make it to the meetup and introduce meself, but late night on Friday, and a 5am finish on Sunday morning (absolutely blazing singing old Smiths songs, and from what I've been told, trying to sing to Portishead) meant I was way, WAY behind for the afternoon. Anyway, Burst Generator again for me, Star Guitar, and the entire encore. HTL, BRB, but most of all Leave Home. Wow. Still had it in the head for the flight home today.

As for visuals - still awesome, but just a bit behind on Saturate - the explosions happening a second behind the music. But who's complaining!

Now to try to get tix for the Electric Proms, and look forward to Glasgow in Dec.
