Don't Think

I didn't think too much today and bought the ltd. version, 40 bucks were just a little pricey for the 10" book.
Wow, the menu is just superb! All that wafting smoke and Scale as the background tune. Awesome!
Also, I really like the paper style cases in which the stuff has come in since Further. That adds to the experience of good qual music! I hope the'll keep that format, it fits just perfect.
Whooosh, Superflash!!!
Hmm, I don't know whether it's my player but the image quality seems rather blurry/pixelated and has schlieren.. Or might this be due to camera performance? Does anyone own the bluray and dvd and can tell me if there's any difference regarding that?

The audio from the CD sounds weird. The mixing is somehow quite different from the live experience.

I had to return mine twice to the "record store" because there was fault on the burn of the DVD. It must be a batch cause the fault is in the exact same spot after replacement 2. And conveniently it was during the climatic mash up of setting sun and out of control (one of favourite parts). There is no limited edition version of the DVD in Australia aswell and its just the standard plastic case with a one sided leaflet inside. The only time I decide to go back to buying local and look what happens, I get reminded why Ive been ordering online for my physical product of music.
On another note, a short review: Has anyone noticed they cut the climatic mash up part of setting sun and out of control on the CD???? I must admit I was a little sad when I heard that ready for it. Its like the universe is depriving of happiness lol.
But ending on a positive, so glad we finally have a legit copy of the chems live experience now. Love the addition of galvanize vocals with chemical beats (forgot about that) it adds new life and dimension to both tracks!

Come out from the cold and into the setting sun. It's where it all began for me (not in Afrika), like it was out of control. Then after that life was sweet. So dream on into the pioneer skies of the fourteenth century and rise from the sunshine underground.

No, there were 3 versions : CD/DVD in a normal CD case, Limited CD/DVD, the size of a DVD (more or less) with a few photos in the book, and Bluray
He's got the 10" (WxH) XL ltd. version whereas you've got the DVD paper back version, I presume. So there must be 4 formats available:
- the Book 10" (square sized)
- limited CD/ DVD (paper back case, DVD size)
- normal CD/ DVD
- Bluray

a key that we didn't see on the other image : "Flash(back)" on the right. You can hear Ed presses this one too, as you can clearly hear the "humming" from Flashback for half a second
Ha, I first thought it was just an effect or delay when he hit HBHG. But now that you mention it, it pretty much makes sense.
Another questions is, why's there a dot on Rasputin?

Explud - hang on in there brother. same with me - it shipped today but i won't get it before april 3.
Benji - i almost got duped too - the one u got is the regular dvd + cd (also called LE on Amazon) - i spoke to Amazon support for an hr and they couldn't figure the difference. The 10" is 35 GBP vs the one u ordered at 23 I think.

after watching the bluray i'm not sure if this is the "*****" (empire), the "the cinematic event of the decade *****" (mixmag) or "a psychedelic classic ****" (mojo). why?
- the quality of the bluray is not what i expect from a bluray, all in all it looks like an upscaled dvd (i don't see any difference between the bluray and dvd on my player, except that the upscaled dvd doesn't have the convert artifacts the bluray has)
- on both the bluray and the dvd the picture is grainy at many times and often shows a lot of image noise which looks kinda weird because the scenes where the people are walking around the festival drinking, eating and looking at the visuals projected at the floor or a tree are in best hd-quality
- there are two times the segues between the songs are sounding like the next song was cut in instead of a chemical-like smooth segue (don't think => out of control & the begining of leave home)
- it is waaaaayyyy to short.
