Yeah, the figueroa is an under-rated hotel...I used to go to their bar downstairs by the pool...It's small and chill...But I dunno if you'll find afterparties there....lol...

Despite the price, I think I'm liking the Standard... it's not as close, and walking too far in that part of L.A. after sunset will get you eaten by cannibal homeless crack zombies, but it wouldn't be a long cab ride.

Oooo swanky Standard!! Very 60's lounge. The open bathrooms in the room are a little funny. :lol: But the rooftop bar action looks ultra cool.

Whirly and Makeskidskill...I'm staying at friends' who live in Downtown, as well...We usually cab to these events, and it's not much when splitting 4-way...

I really like the Standard rooftop...I think it's one of my favorite places in Downtown! The open bathrooms in the room have curtains, so it's a lil' less funny lol...It would be great if we could get a lot of ppl and get the penthouse (for my bday we paid $500)...It's huge and perfect to have a chill-out after haha....Anyway, for Giant, they had afterparties on the rooftop so, hopefully they'll have it for Nocturnal as well...

Oh, and on weekends they have dj's in the lobby, as well! Have you guys been there?

I'm not sure if there is going to be any pre-partying. We have someone watching our son on Saturday, we just haven't worked out the finer details on when grandma is gonna take him off our hands, haha. We'll know more closer to the day. But I'm up for pre-during-post partying of any kind!
