Yep, the boxer is definitely funky.

Can you hear the Manchester sort of groove to it? I really think the keys are what does it. It definitely has a retro feel, and Tim is always great!

I really love this track!! According to Rip & Burn magazine, it's Ed's favorite off the record.

I like the wiggly basslines, and how it warbles this way and that. It sort of reminds me of what they did with My Elastic Eye. The guitar works mad with the song too, it's got a crunchy sort of feel to it that gives the song extra punch.

I dare say the "ah ah ah" coming in the right ear is almost cute, like a mother telling a child "nuh uh uh" when the he's about to do something that's risky or a no-no. X-D

That's why they chose the "ah ah ah" as the noise for when you enter the contest that you've already entered. It's like telling you no no no, you already entered... just to point it out.

Cute!!

But which contest, the home studio one? I never noticed that because it was such a pain in the butt just to enter it once, I didn't dare go back and enter it again!

Yah, that one... I remember a thread where they had the two sounds on the contest page(ahahah & push the button) and most people didn't know what the second one was for. Then I tried to enter again and it played that and I was like "that sounded really freakin wierd"... It kind of startled me when I first heard it.

arg! my cat is really cramping me 'cause she's on my lap. silly, silly Muffin. }:-)

I turned on my TV, there it was, MTV.

It was a "rap" song featuring Q-Tip, I liked the music and I like that it was Q-Tip.

"I stay here to see what this is" I said to myself.

After some seconds I realized that this wasn't rap, but electronica.

I really, really, really liked the song, so I wasn't moving away from the TV until I got who did that song...

The Chemical Brothers

Galvanize

Push the Button

8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

My first reaction was "A new album?!!!" 8O

Cannot be, they have just released a recompilation of old songs with some new ones...

I started searching and yes, a new album!

What can I say about the album...

I think that it has some "gig" songs and some "urban" songs.

By "gig" I mean, go to a concert and jump non stop, and by "urban" I mean songs to go with my walkman walking by the street.

I even think that they have interlaced gig and urban songs.

Tracks 1, 3, 5, 7, etc are gig and 2, 4, 6, 8, etc are urban songs.

Galvanize, before the kid started "fighting" in front of the other guy, that was what I was feeling, that was what my body wanted to do, then he did that and I said "that's exactly what I would be doing right now if I were at a place like that".

Track 10 is "Tomorrow Never Knows" classic song in CB's albums. :)

The last track is another classic CB's song to cool down, to calm down and feel how happy and full of life you are after you've listened to the full album. :D

All right, this has been eating away at my brain.

The roboticized voice at the beginning of Surface To Air... I could only decipher a couple of words like "world" and "better". It's intention must be on the tip of subconsciousness, because I get a very positive feeling just from this robotic vocal sample, like something positive is being said even though I can't really decipher all the words... it's hard to explain. Argh, I hate it when I can't explain properly but I hope you know what I'm getting at.

Anyone want to take a crack at it?

Not really. Galvanize is just weak. Left Right is a good hiphop song with an old school flava and nice political incorrect lyrics. I liked it better than Galvanize.
