I have Confront Your Demons, but sadly, I played it so much, it now skips. Guess that means it was pretty meaningful to me.

I really need to get back into building my collection as well.

At my mother's house, I have a big stack of magazines that featured articles or covers of The Chemical Brothers...all purchased by me personally in the 1990's. All in near perfect condition. No...not for sale, but I should at least take the time to get them digital archived for all of us to enjoy.

I have some magazines too that I have boxed away, that feature the Chems. Not very many, but there are a couple of gems.

It would be amazing to digitally archive all the articles either as as PDF files, links to still-existing articles on the 'net, radio interviews, etc. and upload them to a permanent archive section somewhere on the site (Preferrably not the message board, since threads get buried over time and, well, fumbling through threads is cumbersome!) Interviews where they are talking about their gear, albums, shows, their past, their future plans. It is fascinating to go back and read. It's history that deserves its own place here.

Something for the web designers, maybe - for when it's time to revamp the site.

Maybe it's cool.. but i think this is some part of madness.

Yeah, it's cool to collect some stuff like LTD editions of albums & singles. Yeah, it's cool to collect disc with some history, with some cool b-sides, that you can enjoy on your cd-player. And japan stuff is so cool (bonus tracks, etc).

And i myself started to collecting the releases, and i want to get stuff like this:
http://www.discogs.c.../release/176265
http://www.discogs.c.../release/176265
http://www.discogs.c.../release/417334
http://www.discogs.c...release/1334310
http://www.discogs.c...er/release/6390 - HBHG Extended, Out of control video (Director's cut)! OMFG! Does anybody saw this thing?

But i can't understand what importance have a releases like this?
http://www.discogs.c.../release/406215

I can't understand why collecting releases of all countries? I saw a WATN from Russia on the facebook page (cost 29 Rubles = 0.9$. I'm from Russia, I had such release for a while. It's a piece of shit! Poor quality of CD and print. I replaced this with a UK release and i'm glad for that.

if you go for completeness: there are some "typical" chems inspired compilations out there, i recently picked some up for a few euro's and they are quite fun!

are there more of this kind of compilations with CB inspired names?

I have a couple Japanese versions just because the media format was different and the packaging was different. Some have typos and it's kind of like having one of those old rare baseball cards with a typo on them. Just interesting and sometimes funny.

Uh ? I think you mean "CD de pré écoute, sortie le 23" which means "pre-listen CD, release on the 23rd", which is not helping since we don't even know what CD it is.

I kind of know what you mean. It's nice to have all the mixes/versions of a track but I 'm not interested in duplication of the same tracks on a promo cd or a disc from a foreign country just for the sake of it. And I don't feel the need to get something on vinyl if I already have it on CD (there may be exceptions to that e.g Further unmixed). But at the same time, it is an amazing collection.

I didn't see any Chems remixes of other artists in there though. I covered a bunch of those remixes the lazy way by buying these two compilations. There is some duplication but they're both worth having:
http://www.discogs.c.../release/670663
http://www.discogs.c...s/master/213705

And some of the others like Republica can be bought for pennies on discogs and surprisingly (from 1 penny) amazon.
Some people might want to buy all the remixes separately rather than on a compilation but...life is short and I only have so much room.

If I had enough people who were willing to 'donate' magazine articles I would be willing to digitize them all and post them on the facebook page. I could post them all with credits of the donator of course.

Thanks, glad you guys like the collection. My intent was to make an easy way for me to keep track of my collection and also have a resource for other collectors with actual pictures and CAT numbers.

Thank you. I think I'll take this one off the list since it isn't specific enough.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Japanese version of Come With Us got different mixes of songs? I seem to remember hearing different version of Galaxy Bounce. Can someone confirm this?

No, not as far as my collection goes anyway. The Japanese version does come with the Star Guitar video though.

Analog goodness. Old skool Solid Steel fan Aaron met at Barbican synth fest on Sat says: "This is the synth I went all the way to Bologna to bring back for Tom R. I used to listen in 87/88 when You & Patrick were on the pirates(kiss?) and turned me onto the Chuck Brown album sleeper, Game Seven.Nice to put a face to a name after all these years! "
Yes mate.

Do you thin "Tom R." Is Tom Rowlands ? :) I don't think there's a lot of Tom R. who can afford to make a Buchla come from Italy.
