The most controversial thread yet. I love it.

There's no 'arguing' over musical taste. Either you're cool and you like what I like, or you're retarded.

ok you've made it very obvious that your jealous of all the Daft Punk attention right now.......but time to get over it...........like i said before, if you dont like them or dont wanna read about them, no need to comment and bash at every opportunity you have. We already know what your opinion on the matter is.

It is entertaining to say the least, but turning this into a dating forum and questioning the sexuality of certain posters (not counting our newest uncut member humanafterall who is obviously begging for it) is, well, it's a little bit gay if you ask me.

Some of us don't have to like Daft Punk, but props to them for crediting Tom and Ed on Homework. *tries being positive while desperately searching for middle ground in this fuckwitted disintegrating mess of a thread* X-D

daft punk will be a good buzz live.......

this is a chems forum, i think we(the regular posters) have exhausted our opinions on the issue. it has clearly become a gay hang out/dating/are you cut or not topic.

so why dont we just leave humanaftercock to sit and masterbate to prison porn while we get on with other more important issues?!

i've just waisted a good 40 mins reading this sight with laughter.

all you daft twat fans had better be grateful that ORBITAL are no more, they with the chems were the best live act ever, without question. if ORBIRTAL were still touring all these gay fags would be saying "daft punk, who the fuck are they"

Best live electronic acts ok, but best live acts, I don't think so :) I'm thinking about U2... their live tours, from Zoo TV tour to now, have always been huger than anything else... And I'm also thinking about Led Zeppelin ... Anyway, IMO, Daft Punk : very interesting, Chems : Giant ! U2 : Above anything else !

Chemical Brothers done more for me than Led Zepplin did. So IMO Chemical Brothers are better :D

But i respect the fact that led zepplin were a qaulity band and have qaulity tracks.

Led Zepplin had the "rock god" factor going on with Robert Plant, he had a stage persona that was much larger than life. Same with Jimmy Page. They were OK, they were good at plagiarizing. So the criticism of Plant's songwriting abilities go. ;) Never seen em live so I can't say but from what I know they were tight, solid live act with plenty of stage theatrics.

No mention of Pink Floyd as being one of the greatest live acts yet? I'm here to say they were an absolutely stunning spectacle - a flawless set with flawless sound and flawless visual engineering - one of the greatest things I've ever seen, a musical blessing, and very much worthy of a mention as long as we're talking about greatest live acts.

As for U2, I've seen them live now 10 times. They were great in 1985 with 5 with minimal stage get up, they were great in 1987, they were mind bogglingly good during the Zoo TV era, and they still have what it takes now albeit a little too staged with the onstage speeches and pre-arranged stage theatrics and song alterations (imo). But one thing I believe about the band is if they took away the stage production and all that was left was the music, then the music would carry the show. It always has.

As far as where I am right now, I think the Chems are on top of their game. That's not to say there aren't other fantastic acts out there - of course there are but I wouldn't know because I haven't seen them! But my favorite music will always trump everything else. Even if you strip the visuals away, the emotional impact of the tunes is the heart and soul of what goes on in an electric live setting. That's how the Chems can get away with showing a simple thing such as a teapot exploding on a screen during Elektrobank yet the crowd goes completely apeshit. Plus seeing the crowd, this loving mass of bodies and arms and hands and fingers ebbing and flowing like a fleshy tide in unison... it's incredible, and something I've never ever witnessed at any other show I've been to. But that's just me. Does it really matter? X-D

I'm gone off babbling. Sorry. X-D
