So my girlfriend is a keeper, I knew this, but she texted me earlier saying the the $132 would be worth it to see them. She also noticed on the site that they are doing this as a three-ticket deal, one act I haven't heard of, the other tba.

Since this show is on a Sunday, it begs the question: where will they be Saturday, hmm...

speaking of there twitter feed

'don't rely on us to get you high'

well that's obvious. We found out from others (Hollywood bowl press release) about the show and we're extremely high now.

Also, I wonder if they will ever make it back to CANADA *nudgenudge*. Not just Toronto or Montreal boys (that means you too errol).

Now that I think about this, I may cut down the size of my Japan trip a little. I'm for sure going to Fuji Rock still, but now there is the Hollywood Bowl gig and it is before School. probably cut back by a week.

I don't see why not we can all do some bowling before the show, you know, split the forum members into two teams.

@Biff

Good call on the Saturday. It's gonna be another Cali show for sure. Probably the 2010 tour is centered around those dates.

@chemicalreaction

Now you got 2 reasons to come on down bro!

@inchem, How do we split the teams between Tom and Ed, and quite possibly erol.

It is nice to see you coming back, chemicalreaction! :)

Further down is some brief info for the tickets. I don't want to generate any rumors re: ticket prices, because this particular event's ticket prices have not been confirmed, but here's a blurb form the Bowl site:

"Ticket prices start as low as $1 on many nights for bench seats in the back and rise to upwards of $100 for box seats at the front of the house."

http://www.hollywood...ers.cfm#tickets

My guess is there will most certainly be individual tickets available because it wouldn't make sense otherwise.

"Individual tickets: Individual tickets are available at the Box Office, online, by phone and through Ticketmaster outlets."

So I suspect the Chems label will be working in accordance with the Bowl to take out some full page spreads in the LA papers closer to the date, as this venue isn't a 2000 seater concert hall. This is a big place. There is room for nearly 18,000 dancing fools here. ;)

I sent off an email (below) so I'll let you know if/when I get a reply - if there's any other questions you want to ask you can email them using the form here: http://www.hollywood...ail=information or ask in this thread and I'll write back to them (if I get a reply)

I hope I'm not being redundant or that this info I'm asking about isn't something I'm stupidly overlooking. Anyway.

Hi,

I have a couple of questions and I'm hoping you can assist me please.

Going by other Hollywood Bowl events listed on the Ticketmaster site, I am assuming there will be single day tickets for August 29th as well. How soon prior to an event do tickets usually go on sale through Ticketmaster?

For tickets sold through the Box Office - are they generally on sale the same day tickets are available on Ticketmaster?

Can tickets be purchased the day of the event through the Box Office?

Can tickets be purchased by phone through the Box Office prior to the event? If so, are they mailed to the ticket holder directly or are they available for pick up only the day of the event?

Thanks in advance for any additional assistance you can provide!

Take care,

Mia

Don't know about you guys, but I'm preparing to plop down a benjamin for a nice box seat. From the looks of it, bench seats (nosebleed) is a little to far for my liking.

Also, I was told it's bring your own wine on Sundays at the bowl.

@Ryno

T vs. E

Errol will be the cheerleader or something!

As for the bowl seats, I do want a freakin good view! I'll take Bosco's advice for a box seat as well!

Thanks for doing the homework Whirls! You asked very good questions, and their not stupid questions btw, but your just trying to get every detail on how tickets are going to be sold. I don't know if anyone else noticed but I already seen some shady websites already selling same-day tickets for the show. You can tell that these websites were quickly made in a few days because you can tell them apart from other websites like Ticketmaster and LiveNation, so beware people. Even Ebay is selling tickets for this show.

When it comes down to it, I want to be sure i'm buying my tickets legitimately and at the most earliest. So thanks again Whirls for sorting everything out. I know everybody wants tickets now, but it's better if we wait till more information comes in.
