I'm not gonna front, I actually credit the Chems for helping me discover other indie acts as a result of either their remixes or collaborations.

Got into New Order (yes, it was Out Of Control that got me into them), Primal Scream, Beth Orton, The Charlatans, Mercury Rev, Spiritualized, Manic Street Preachers, and Midlake as a result. Ironically enough, I had no idea Midlake was a local band (since I used to attend University of North Texas in Denton during my undergrad and currently work in Dallas) until AFTER their collaboration on The Pills Won't Help You Now.

Still find it crazy that a local act was able to collaborate on the track with the act that ultimately got me into electronic music.
