it's funny that it looks like a fatboy video... because on the fatboy dvd collection, they (one of his directors) came right out and said, 'well, we just try to make em look like chemical brothers videos'

As you guys said it, it reminded me too much of Ya mama, with all that can't-stop-dancing-to-the-beat theme ahah...But I enjoyed it, though it's not nearly the top chemical brother's videos in terms of creativity....And the story line was similar to Galvanize's...The kids sneaking out and having a fun time in the town...Maybe it was Tom n' Ed's reflection for peace in the Middle East haha...Bring in their music and all is good....

It is like the Fatboy video, but with a Middle Eastern flavor in a Gods Must Be Crazy sort of way. I was hoping for something more psychedelic and imaginative, given my mind's eye impression of the song. It's not a bad video, but it's not my fave of the bunch (sorry Tom and Ed!!!) What I did like about the video was everyone bobbing their heads, because the song definitely has head bobber appeal. I don't know where the video was filmed exactly but what struck me as interesting is that in certain parts of the middle east, music is very restricted and limited, reduced to black market bootlegging... and here's this tape that falls from the sky, a Chems tape of all things. I'd like to know what the Arabic writing on the tape said.
And kids up to no good, well shit. I'd be running from the authorities too if someone was gonna pull my tooth without any anaesthetic!
I don't like the re-worked lyrics. I know they had to be swtiched up for G-Rated sake, but I think they compromise the song a little bit.
Interesting investigative work, nalaknip. Now I have that fucking Walking On Sunshine song in my head, hahahaa I'm only kidding! I guess Hausman has been around a while and has a few notches on his belt. You can find him on imdb.com, too - if it's the same Michael Hausman then he scores in my book for being assistant director of Hair. I wonder...

i'm prolly the only one who still hasn't seen it - refused to load on my machine - will try again from home today.
And stash - funny bout that comment from the fatboy dvd - fatboy's videos are nowhere like the chems, and most are sad except a few rockin ones. ya mama rocks!

They nicked the idea of Fatboy Slim's 'Ya Mama' video.

Edit: I see more people have seen the similarities.
