saw Wolfmother last night. they were fuckin insane!!! that andrew stockdale is one goofy guy. i actually met him after the show and took a picture with him lol. Their new album Cosmic Egg is really good, although their debut is far superior. Wolfmother is an incredible live band. really wish i could have seen them with the original lineup :/. i think the addition of the second guitar was a bad idea to be honest.

anyways, for any rock fans on here, you should definitely check out Wolfmother.

I've been in Portland for the past week and a half with my girlfriend. It's been a great stay--too bad I have to go back to San Francisco to find work. :-(

Going to be spending a week with my soon soon, though. :-)

Whirls! See you soon!

I don't have any kids. But when I say that, it makes me wish I did. I still got plenty of time to 'breed'! :)

Today's dinner:

Pork Chops

Mashed Potatoes with Gravy

Buttermilk Biscuits

Green Beans with Carrots

Dishes are done, clothes are in the dryer, my day is done. Off to bed!

I biked 23.6 miles today. It didn't kill me, but I'm damn, damn tired. ;-)

@inchemwetrust that sounds like a great dinner. And alas--I think I have too many folks scheduled for visits to fit you in this time around. :-(

@pooter, Thumbs up to the healthy, but tired, man.

@TJ and Jittem, ahhhh aussie music. I really have come to respect the scene downunder in the past few years. There is so much great music coming out of there in my opinion. Seeing how Triple J promotes so many styles of music (they actually play electronic) and how ARIA actually supports there artists makes me envy Australia. Canadians like me are a little envious. We support from within, but Aussies look to have a better framework. But I could be tottally getting this wrong and you guys see it tottally different.

Aussie Bands I like: Wolfmother, Palimpest, Aronas (Okay Kiwi, sorry), Xavier Rudd

@Pooter

Excuses,Excuses,Excuses...what did I ever do to you! ;-) No worries bro. Just make sure you plan me in your schedule before the Apocalypse. Kudos on your bike ride btw!

@Ryno

Americans envy too! I rather take Cosmic Egg over Them Crooked Vultures. They have a sold-out show this tuesday so i'm out of luck. Glad you rocked-out over there TJ.

@Rynostar - i guess you are right in many respects. But then again im always cynial because some of the groups that i consider to have lots of talent (eg infusion) don't get that much backing by the radio stations. Instead groups like Empire of the Sun and the Presets maintain a monopoly.

Ahwell atleast australia is getting music out into the world :p.

Speaking of which, a group that i found recently from my city. Dissapointed i hadn't heard of them sooner. I'd describe as decent breaks. Check it out.

hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend.

i know i did. i went to this "uni vibes" party that was in some mansion. It had dj's playing throughout the night and about 600+ people rocked up. The main reason i tell you all this is i got to see sirbadgealot perform his music. :D :D

@sirbadge - dude you guys rocked it. I've always heard people say good things about your stuff, but i guess i had to see it to believe it. Btw thanks for the demo wooot wooot.

Now its time for me to go to a friends place to smoke weed and listen to shy child

Life is Sweet.

P.S Welcome to the Brotherhood GLVG

Awesome you got to see sirbadge! How fun!

I had a fantastic visit with MadPooter and his adorable little son on Saturday!

It sounds so geeky but it never ceases to amaze me how much the Chems are apart of my life on and off the board, and when the stereo is turned off.

Had a great time, Whirls!!! And it was awesome to see how great Stash is doing. :D

My dad, Caden's grandfather, gave Caden an old laptop to use. Caden managed to bring up iTunes, and the first thing he said was, "Dad, can you help me put Surrender on here?"

I feel Christmasy when I read those posts! Glad that the reunions are starting up, whether friends or family.

I'm really ready for the the big weekend with the family and all. I feel at peace despite all the hustle and stress of work and i'm now hitting the big payoff. Got Grandma and Gramps, cousins and nieces, and relatives who I have not seen since I was 10. Some of my relatives are coming down from Mexico, others from Minnesota, Texas, and New York. It's gonna be much better than last year fo sho! Bring on the Bird!

In other news..

I went home early today due to a bad migraine but i'm better now. It was one of those sensitivity to sound and light ones! Argh!

Lady Gaga came (invaded) to the Best Buy over here. Lot of media blitz was going on! If had my appetite hours ago, I would of been treated to this..

http://allieiswired....ing-fans-photo/

After my near aneurysm, got up and went to look at more records. No EBW's this time around but I scored again. My Mercury Mouth EP for $2.99 in Minty condition, and one of my faves from their DJ Sets, Metro LA - To a Nation Rockin (black vinyl version) for 50 cents HA HA!

So, all the fun starts at 4pm tomorrow for me and I come back on Monday for the Xmas countdown. I know it's early so I'll say it anyway. I wish you all and your families a safe and great Thanksgiving.

I have 2 extra plates for T and E at our table. They get served first!

Hey inchem...

Where do you live that you keep coming across vinyl gems like these in the bargain bins?

You're on fire!

Happy Thanksgiving all you U.S. peeps! Enjoy our favorite pastime--stuffing your face without having to feel the pain of guilt, ignorant of the consequences we reap which stem from our habits as blind consumers.

Just got home! Watching the lost JFK tapes. I can't imagine how sad the nation was when Kennedy passed away. They even showed Oswald getting shot on live TV!

@satur8

it's luck!
