I just bagged the last room at the Hotel 6 Palm Springs Downtown, just 23 miles from the show. EVERY hotel within 20 miles of Coachella is full!

Score on the hotel room, inchem! You're so lucky you got it. There must've been a cancellation because we tried to book there yesterday and there was no availabilty.

Friday is looking less and less likely because we can't find a sitter for Connor. But that's OK. We are really amped and ready to go for Saturday and part of Sunday, too!! Hooray! stash will be out and about in the land of the living! Seriously, I am so looking forward to having some mom/dad time (been so long since we've had a kid-free weekend) and mingling with you fine folks. :mrgreen:

Our Motel 6 in Twentynine Palms is still reserved, though. If nobody is planning on crashing with us for the Saturday evening (Biff, Pooter?), please let us know as soon as possible as we want to cancel the reservation and try and sort out lodging at a place closer to the venue.

Dude, inchem, thats so awesome of you. I really appreciate it, but i'm almost guaranteed not coming. Friday is the magic day in which I find out if I get the job or not. Then I can give a final verdict. A) I got the job and will fly out of Buffalo, B) I got the job but can't take any time off, or C) I didn't get the job, so I have the time, just not the cash.

Cool - Those lockers are a great idea. When were lockers added? I don't remember seeing them from 2005 but then again I wasn't camping so I wasn't looking out for storage space. I'm bringing a small backpack anyway because a girl needs her phone, her spf 9000, hand sanitizer and her girlie stuff. But we may just take you up on that offer, Bosco in case we need to store outerwear.

Lockers were brought to Coachella in 2007, I think.

Stage and Times will be usually posted a week before the festival. I know, it's kinda crappy to post them so late.

But I'm almost certain the Chemical Brothers will play at either the Sahara Tent or The Main Stage with a closing time spot on either stage.

My guess is the Killers would be closing out the main stage on Saturday, and the Chems would be playing the Sahara like they did the last time they dj'd there.

I used to like M.I.A. until it was blasted on the radio/tv all the time. I was guaranteed to hear it least once everyday for several months.

M.I.A has been all over U.S. doing tours and festivals the last 2 years, including Coachella last year. I mean I don't hate M.I.A or nothing, but I don't understand how she could be sub headlining a festival like Coachella. Same goes for Amy Winhouse, but at least her appearances are a little more exclusive.

Oh well, I hope this increases my chances of being able to see both Thievery Corporation and The Chemical Brothers with no problem.

I've listened to a bit of Thievery Corporation, and it's interested me, but I haven't given it a fair listen. Chill, is how I would describe it.

I have to say I'm interested in seeing MIA live (although I didn't care too much for her last album).

I think she was probably given this slot considering the praise she received for the song she did that was in Slumdog Millionaire. But that's just a guess...
