that was an official american release that still can be found in stores around, not only in the US. no limited edition, not really rare.

BTW this is US Release from astralwerks label, so this is available ONLY in US (lagally, i dont' talk about ebay, because you can grab there anythibk what you want). If You are living far away from US, this is rare item for You, if not this is still rare item, beacuse it's deleted allready. So, don't fuck up, Boy...

What a weird coincidence. I was listening to this when I logged onto the forum.

Anyway, picked up American EP last year in a secondhand shop in Berwick Street in London for a pricely sum of 1 pound.

It's available everywhere. I bought the Astralwerks version in my local record shop. You pretend you know stuff but actually you don't know shit.

in fact, equinoxe - you don't know a shit. don't fuck around with me. i know what i am talking about. i haven't been to poland recently so dunno about the situation there but i've seen american ep in germany, france, italy, UK, netherlands, sweden and belgium in big chain record stores as in independent ones as well. ever heard of imports? man, think before you write something

It's non-rareness doesn't mean it's not a cool thing for a Chems fan to have. Just enjoy it now that you have it. That's all that matters anyway.

Shit, man!You are like a sisy girl. Some shops, especially the big chain of musical shops are taking some copy of what is actually releasing from the artists. It's mean some shops in spain or greece can take some copy of block rockin beats single or loops of fury EP (US) by time when it's release. But it's sold within couple of weeks. Sooo, American EP is sold out in 2002, that 3 years. You must be like to buy it now in any shop, maybe some shops can take it for You from US for a expensive costs. Three years ago i seen the AntiNazi Mix in one polisch shop for a normal price as cd - 10-12 euros. Is this mean the AntiNazi isn't rare because a seen this in shop???Noooo, this was an exclusive accidence!!I don't know, maybe in Your local shop You can buy even Confront Your Demons or Brothers Gonna WOrk It Out promo cd. equinoxe, told you once: don't fuck around with me. i don't want to say anything against your collection (which must be quite good) but not everything that seems to be rare really IS. even anti-nazi mix ain't a too rare item. it is, however, rare what does not mean it's not available anywhere. still can be found on eBay and, yes, some record stores (esp. in london and manchester, as far as i know) as well. the difference between A-NM and American EP is, that first one was a limited numbered PROMO and has never oficially been released. the american EP was an official release, for US only but quite a lot of chains and even smaller stores imported quite large amounts of it. that a record is just available in 1 country doesn't make it rare. you should probably think over about what the word "rare" really means.

On ebay i can buy original For Mustang from 1964. I can buy there ANYTHING. Earlier or later but everything.

why do you still discuss about that? men, i said, eBay is one place, the most common one. nevertheless, it can be found on many other places as well...

once again: that was an official astralwerks release - only that was a US release only. but there must be 10.000s of copies around

So to sum it up, it was an American-only release. Hence AMERICAN EP. However it is NOT rare, many copies were made, so it is easy for places like amazon.co.uk to import.



Hoever, maybe it will be worth money in a few years. Radiohead released the Airbag EP, which was US only too....and years later, it apparently has become a collectors item. I doubt it will happen with the American EP, though :)

yeah but airbag US EP was a limited edition as well (at least not too many made of) and came in digipak and with nice booklet and so... that's why the price for it increased over the years

Anti Nazi mix is a promotional CD (that means: for promotional use only, not for resale, so it should not be for sale in an ordinary music store. That's why it's considered a rare item. You can buy The American EP everywhere, and I doubt it was deleted before it was sold again. Anyway, other countries and music stores like to import records to make their customers happy. But I can imagine this must be very hard to understand, you coming from Poland and your ego and stuff...

I don't reckon I've got any limited edition stuff (except for live sets I've got over LimeWire). Most of my singles, albums have been bought from mainstream music shops, internet shops etc etc.



It would be nice to know of somewhere decent where you can regularily obtain limited edition stuff without going through the ball ache that is eBay!!



One album/CD I have got that I have never ever seen since for sale anywhere is the Live at The Social Vol 1 but no doubt that aint limited edition and everyone has a copy.



End of the day, my Chems collection is truly special to me and regardless of whether or not any of it is limited edition or will be worth much in the future is irrelevent coz I'll never be selling any of it.
