It's just because I hate that word so much. You hear all the little shits here saying it. It's all come from bloody america (I refuse to capitilise the a in america). They have to much influence on the kids, you end up wanting to hit every little tw@ that says that word.

Hmmm.
I am starting to think I really don't fit into this forum anymore. I know I am not the most constructive person on this forum (I admit many of the posts I have posted have been crap and I have also started a few silly arguments with people in the past), mainly cos I don't know much about anything relevant to the chems. I have been here since the 'new' forum was started but nowadays I feel like an outsider. Its probably just me, I don't particularly have anything interesting to say.
Recently, I have stopped collecting Chems records and have become less interested in following this forum. I don't want to criticicise anyone on this forum because I think there are some great people on here, like anType, chem'd up, whirlygirl, and others who I have forgotten the names of. I am thinking of leaving altogether, then you will all be free of my unconstructive posts and anti-war views. Maybe its time for me to go.

Yes, I too hope I'm not one of those people driving you out of here.
I just wish people wouldn't take the forum too seriously. From my point of view, internet discussion shouldn't be like communities in real life. What I mean is that there shouldn't be a core group of forum users who are the only ones who can relate to each other. That way it will take a big effort for someone new to fit into discussion and another effort get out of the forum. Big drama in each direction.
I think it's quite sad that some people naturally become owners of a forum. They shape the forum to their own mindset and other people just have to fit into the general mindset to earn respect. Just look at what happened to mexican chemical.
So I think your problem is that you became too customed to the mindset this forum featured months ago. There have been many new active users joining the conversation after that and it's clear that the "forum mindset" has changed somewhat. It's either that, or everybody just moans that "there's nothing to talk about anymore, boohoo".
You can't really expect to have satisfying discussion going on all the time, because at the end of the day we are quite random people popping in and out of here. I really don't want to see anyone leaving from this forum, but if you feel like there is only the choice of having satisfying discussion and the choice of leaving (as opposed to chatting less regularly) then suit yourself.
(I wrote this rant in a bit of hurry, so it might sound offending, I hope people can fish out the relevant points and not get annoyed by poor choices with words.)
