Copyright. A Canadian band who were pegged as the next Nirvana in the early 90s when they were called Circle K. They blew their big Geffen advance on smack.

They returned in the late 90s with the fantastic album The Hidden World, an operatic alt-rock concept album about addiction. Can't even find info about this band on the 'net. Hit single was Rock Machine but the band broke up shortly afterwards.

Swamp Zombies: http://www.swampzombies.com/

A good way to describe these guys are Harry Belofonte meets Tiki meets... erm... I don't know? Anyway. They are a local band (to my area) and never made it big (except for Shag who went on to become a relatively well known artist). On me and stash's first "real" date, we were driving up to a club in Los Angeles and I went rifling through his glovebox and found a Swamp Zombies album so I said, "oh man, I love these guys! Can we listen?" and stash was so surprised that I knew who Swamp Zombies were, and knew the lyrics and sang along no less - he proclaimed his love for me right on the spot. OK, not really. He proclaimed his love for me about a month after we met... but anyway that band goes down in our personal history. I've seen them play a few times. They're good live, a really tight band, including a standup bass which is cool.. And they're nice guys at least when we've chatted with them. When we had our car broken into, a couple of tapes were stolen and by that time, no more were in circulation. Ah, life before the internet... So we mentioned to the Swamp Zombies how sad we were during a break in one of their gigs, and one of guys said "just give us a call, here's our number and we'll send you a couple of tapes". Better still, they were good to their word. This was years ago, though - I haven't seen anything in print my them save for the couple of tapes I still own which I dare not play in the event the cassettes self destruct spontaneously. Fink was a great album - really, check it out, it's pretty cool http://music.yahoo.com/release/64134

Sorry, but that Dirty Fuzz band is crap. It's just standard crap power rock that I see on mtv/much music all the time.

Anyway, FC Kahuna are pure gold. Check them out if you can. It's hard to find any of their stuff.

FC Kahuna - Machine Says Yes is a great album. Big thanks to sneakerbeater for introducing me to them!

Yeah, Machine Says Yes always returns to my CD player every once in a while. Hayling is pure bliss.

So does that mean we stricken FC Kahuna from the record because people have heard of them??

Mine...uhhh. I think I mentioned them before but...

New Zealand/Australian Jazz Punk. Fun danceable beats. I first heard them through a Mr. Scruff mix back a year ago.

Ok, I would just like to reprimand whoever was supposed to, but didn't, tell me about FC/Kahuna - Growler is absolutely incredible, as is Machine Says Yes.

Ah, ok. So FC Kahuna are more well known than I thought. I still can't find the cd anywhere though. Had to download it.

'Machine Says Yes' was originally released on City Rockers (RIP) but then was released again, with a different track order, on Skint. May help you find it.
