Yeah--their live performance of "Harder Better Faster Stronger" for "best dance single" and Alive 2007 for "best dance album."

Gotta love that "Dance" is the closest thing to electronic music that the American music industry can get to.

Is it just me or they took '08 Grammys for '07 recordings?

The FAQ states:

"For the 50th Annual GRAMMY Awards, albums must be released between Oct. 1, 2006 and Sept. 30, 2007."

This was the 51st Grammy Awards, so the period for eligible releases began on Oct. 1, 2007. The single for the live version of Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger was released on October 22, 2007 and Alive 2007 was released on December 4, 2007.

And according to their website www.daftalive.com , Daft Punk is -not- going to be performing in Shanghai this year. In fact, they're not performing -anywhere- this year.

But hey, they mentioned a 2010 or 2011 world tour! That's only... you know... a year or two away... ::runs and cries::

Anyway, a world tour coming soon (even is "soon" is more "next year, or the year after") is really a good news !
