I must say EBW 8 has blown my socks away. However, EBW 9 has grown on me.
I can't say much on the animal track or new intro because I haven't heard any hi quality recording yet, but they are quite impressive at low quality.
The Rock Drill just really seem to be meant as a standalone thing...
However, I have a suggestion Lets add the BRB intro into the mix! I love the "bebebebreakdooooooown!" :D

ebw8 all the way.
btw i have a question for folks who love 9 (I do too) - how do u compare it to 7? I think 6 and 9 are both in the same vein, tho 6's more straightforward mean acid dance floor belter. 9's a bit twisted and more ambitious, but the beats don't do it as much as 7 for me. 7 was history!

Ebw 8 I can easily see being there ending song for the new tour. will they keep TPPR somewhere in the set though?
dont know about the end song, but its definately a towards the end of the night uplifting tune. i reckon ebw 8 would sit nicely where the golden path sat in the 2004/5 tours
I'm a fuckin doughnut

I was thinking the same thing in that I've been wanting another EBW 7, mean type track ever since I got my fill of 7. I really don't think 9 is that much like 7 other than being "electronic and hard" like the upcoming album.
Thats one of the reasons why 8 amazed me so much is because I actually liked it more than 9 even though 9 has been what I've been wanting.
Has anyone else been revisiting the other EBWs? 7 has been back in my playlist and I've found new appreciation for 6 :D They're soooo good! Never old, classic all the way

I am totally confused by Jack's Revenge, hahah!! First he says 7, then he says 6, then he throws in 8 and 9 and numbers kind of scare me. X-D
You mean, compare to EBW 6 (Hoops) or EBW 7 (Acid Children) ?
I never really thought of comparing previous EBW's with the new installment of Battle Weapons. I am so pleased with EBW 9 it has been at the front of my mind over all other Chems tunes at the moment.
I do have a soft spot for EBW 6 and that one has been revisited the most.

Alright, I got a recording of the London 2005 show, and I found two different stuff in them: the first happens between EBW 7 and The Golden Path; the second takes place between Chemical Beats and Got Glint?. So, I don't know about first one, but I guess the second one is "The Animal Song". Can someone please give some light?

Blame the no edit button. I meant comparing 7 to 9. I'm somehow not being able to love 9 as much as 7, n i find em eerily from the same school of thought, tho 9's definitely more ambitious, but lacks in execution.

OK the Ulster thing that Den_B put up is the new intro. Haven't heard that live, sound quality is crap so I can't judge that (thanks for posting anyhow Den_B).
I'm still confused what the animal song is. Is that the one played at the DJ-set Summercase which can be found on youtube? I always thought that would be EBW 8. That track sounded rockin'.
Then you also have the live track between Surface to air and EBW 6, the one with the Blue Moday beats, I thought that was the animal song. It sounds like just a jam track, nothing special.
EBW 8 has grown on me. It's in my head all day, every day though I understand everybody's opion about it being a euphoric track, I hear it aswell, but it's a strange track. The basic beats doesn't really match with the drum break. It's the same as Hey boy hey girl. You can listen to it as a poppy dance track because of the vocal sample, or you can hear a pure acid track.
EBW 9 just knocks my socks off. Can't wait to hear this in a club just to dance my ass off and go mental but it isn't a track a put up at home.
Strangely Rock Drill comes out as my favourite. I really love the dark beats is has. It really is a conceptual piece and probably sounds best with the Rock Drill buste (the actual artpiece) in mind. I've I visualize it, it's a dark strange alien object who watching you but you have no idea what it wants. It's eery. The track is heavy on the beats (big "whoomps") mix with strange high notes. I't sounds like a tripod from War of the Worlds. Awesome track!!
