my new car. 97 toyota camry. soon to be equipped with nice music system. speaking of which can anybody here give me tips on getting subwoofers, amps and shit like that. 'Pimp my Ride' doesn't really help.
Don't spend over the top, as you can get a decent system for a decent price (or an extravagant system for an extravagant price, but I don't recommend spending thousands of dollars....).
I'm not going to go into specific brands and models as I'm at least a year or so behind on my knowledge, but here are a few tips:
1) Pay attention to the RMS wattage rating, not the peak. This will give you a better impression of how the speaker performs.
2) Shitty companies often overrate the power delivered or handled by their equipment. Excellent companies often underrate. Shockingly, sometimes 300W RMS subs might be WAY better than others rated at 500 W RMS (a lesson I learned firsthand...), depending on the brands involved.
3) Balance is important. Don't blow all your dough on subs and amp without paying attention to your other speakers and your headunit. Get a real nice set of speakers for the front, components if possible. Using rear speakers is optional: many swear by front speakers only for proper soundstaging and the money you save on the rears can go towards better speakers.
4) Soundproofing is important. Rattles are really annoying and embarrassing (trust me, I can't listen to some tunes at volume because of rattles). Can be expensive to Dynamat though. Look into other sound-isolation materials at hardware stores (your results may vary).
5) No one can tell you what equipment sounds good except you. Bring along a few CDs that you know inside and out when you go shopping, so you can determine first hand what equipment is erection-inducing.
Hope that helps.

My new cell-phone with 'Hey Boy Hey Girl" ringtone.
A night of mobile drunkenness along the riverside.
Not remembering why I left a half-eaten breadstick w/bruschetta on the table and whether or not I got sick.
Having two days off.
Having only 9 days until I leave for sunny California.

Oh jeez. Between your ringtone and me and stash's phone with Block Rockin Beats, we can have a phone-off! How cheesy, yes...

I wanted a Galvanize ringtone, but they didn't have it through my provider. I chose HBHG over Block Rockin' Beats, Come With Us, and Don't Stop the Rock (which strikes me as a very odd one to have available).
currently have tempetation/star guitar and let me in mate as my ringtones
