Chemical Brothers and Sisters,



Tom and Ed want you all to know that after much labor and love, the new record has been completed!



You'll start hearing lots of news as far as release dates, album and track titles and more in the next few weeks.



We'll also have new tour dates, including long-awaited shows in the US.



And we've just updated the MySpace page with some heavily requested classic tracks as we prepare to unveil the first single off the new album very soon. : )





It's gonna be a thrill ride from here, so get ready!

That's not very encouraging... :? Perhaps the news was premature.



I'm not expecting a massive tour (obviously) but I really really really hope this isn't another situation like with Push The Button where the Astralwerks newsletters kept saying for us to hang on tight because more US dates were coming - dates which never did.



Must think positive thoughts. Must think happy thoughts.



Interesting thing about posting in Chems blogs now. Each post now must be submitted for approval. I hope they don't mind I called Jeanie a Jeanie Beanie Teeny Weenie! X-D (she started it first by saying Jeanie Weenie says "hi")

You know, if it were Slipvin that made this post I would have been cursing our maker. But since it was Bosco, it actually has some validity.



And really, it would be great if the news were released today because as I was walking home listening to The Chemical Brothers live in Barcelona 2002, hearing the most amazing peak in human history that is The Sunshine Underground, I thought to myself, "God D#mn these guys are f_king amazing."

Hey Pooter - if the Chems come down to Southern California it would be great to meet up if you plan on making the trip down!!!



If the Chems play up north I am definitely looking into going... if I can get a willing relative to watch our son. I would imagine if they decided to play one date up north and one day down south the shows would be back to back or very close to it. I was bummed that I missed the show they did with New Order, but with Coachella, work, sitter and how financially tight it was at the time - it just wasn't in the cards.



God, I hope S. California is in the cards. I hope so!!



It's about time for the Chemical senses tingling. I need to break out the Coachella bootleg and give that whirl. By the time the album comes out the tingling sensations are going to feel like pins and needles all over my body.

QUESTIONS, SO MANY QUESTIONS...

Greetings True Believers,



It seems like the amount of e-mails and questions has exploded, so I thought I'd try to address the most frequent inquiries real quick:



1) TOUR DATES



We will absolutely post all dates as they are announced - and in most cases will make an effort to give you a head's up.



Yes, The Chemical Brothers will be doing U.S. dates. There'll be as many as are feasible initially, but it won't be a huge number of dates, so road trips and car pools could be in your future (or flights, for the more ambitious). We'll let you know ASAP where and when.



2) ELECTRONIC BATTLE WEAPONS 8 AND 9



Sorry - we cannot send you these tracks. The vinyl was strictly limited and neither is available commercially at this time. Older fans will recall that previous Electronic Battle Weapons reared their heads as further advanced tracks or B sides later on. But there'll be more soon...



3) THE NEW ALBUM



We'll be bringing you news soon about the new album. The brothers have laboured long and hard to deliver more of that voodoo that they do so well and we can't wait for you to hear what they've cooked up this time.
