What I heard of Nude Night, I like. But what I heard of the dexter Skribble mix, I looooooooooove! I can't wait to test that out when the neighbors go out of town. :)

Cuz I'm a nice person, and there's a cute little older couple living below, I will refrain from driving them out of the house.
Of course I could just test it out in my car. My car stereo isn't the best, but it's quite decent.

I have to say that i am not a big fan of the golden path either. I am with you antype.
Now i have heard the full version and i must say that wayne coyne's voice on the track is really bad and it gets even worst in the end. Lyrics and everything else is fine but his voice is really fucked up in the track. It could have been a really good track if Richard Aschroft or Noel Galleger were on it but Wayne nope. The track simply blows in the end coz of Wayne. THat's all i have to say about that

Wayne always sounds like that on all his tracks. Hell, Golden Path is him at his best. I like the way he is able to pull off singing without being able to sing. I have been a Chems fan from the start and I have no problem with this track. It's obvious with Golden Path and Nude Night that Tom and Ed are trying for something new and the track is not geared towards closed minded fans that want ?yet? another Dig Your Own Hole.
Noel Galleger???!!? (yawn) Why do some of you refuse CHANGE? Noel Galleger and Ashcroft have had their shot. Hell, if you are looking for a talented vocalist get Karl Hyde, if you want a unique vocalist get Wayne Coyne.

as i have mentioned earlier that i have no problemo with the track but wayne's voice on it is damn bad(?). I am not sayin that they should have put Noel or Richard on the track but at least a professional singer who is able to sing a decent song not someone who is screeming. Plus i think his voice is Annoying. really annoying. It could have been such an amazing song but Wayne has ruined it.
btw : I like chems new style than the DYOH one. It's just that fans like you are blindly gonna follow CHems no matter what they make. I love change....change is a good thing...i love CWU and every track on it. THere is a difference between a good change and bad change....i am not saying that this is a bad change... As a matter of fact it is not big of a change. This new orderish style is cool i think but i dunno if chems pulled this one off.

I'm not afraid to admit I loooooooooooooooooove the Flaming Lips, Wayne n'all! Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots sealed my resolve. I think it's FANTASTIC that the Chemicals teamed up with one of the most psychadelic rockers in recent memory who are always pushing the musical envelope. But like chem'd up, my positive reaction to this is my opinion. Fair enough.
I have to agree with Paulieslim when he says people are expecting "yet" another Dig Your Own Hole. We all have our favorites, but I've said it before and I'll say it again: I like that the Chems take chances and don't stagnate. Even if it means no other record stacks up to my favorite, As much as I love Dig Your Own Hole being my fave, I'd rather them explore different musical paths than sit on their asses in the recording studio and pump out more sure things like 3 successive Dig Your Own Holes.

i agree that Chems should not make 3 other DYOH. That would be kindda stupid. DYOH is not my fav chems album though . EPD is.The flaming lips might be cool on their own album and rock tracks but the golden path is not a rock song it is dance.(or it is suppose to be).There are no heavy guitars of mad drums in this track.It is a very soft song and singing like wayne on the track i think is jjust not rite.

Well, you got a point there chemicalreaction. I don't want to dispute your opinion of the Golden Path - opinions are personal and I can respect that.
I'm not so sure that Golden Path is inteded to be a dance track in the truest sense. I could be wrong though - but the Chems know what constitutes a danceable track, and you're right, Golden Path doesn't sound like a dance track the way a "normal" Chems dance track would sound. But Alive Alone, The Test, The State We're In isn't exactly any club goer's idea of stomping dancefloor hits either - but they appear on records that are definitely dance oriented.

i like the story teller way too. I agree with you on everything but it's just the vocals that i don't like.
Ok i think this conversation is gonna go nowhere. There are always gonna be people who like the golden path and some who don't and some who absolutely think that it is garbage. i just don't like the track.
