Thanks mippio, think someone IDd that track after Fabric last year. Acid doppelwhipper was indeed incredible, I think it came on quite soon after I got up on stage so I went a bit nuts. Unfortunately I do believe it was Mr. Robertson who played Hands Up For Detroit.. no matter, pretty much everything else he played was madness. Anil dropping Go by Moby absolutely floored me. Just kind of stood stunned in silence until the beat dropped.

Can anyone name some of the tunes that Fatboy was playing? Sounds quite similar to Switch's stuff? 'Booty house' for lack of a better term? Shamefully I was quite liking it..

Not sure what we played, but check out Riva Starr on his label, quite simular.

Yeah the detroit tune maybe a chart tune now, however I remember when I first hurd it and thought it was great, it was a good underground tune. Just because a record have been played alot on the radio doesnt mean its shit.

i agree with you acid - for example lazy by xpress 2 got loads of radio play and was well house.

however, put your hands is just shit, radio play or not ;)

was an emotional time walking out of turnmills for the last time, stopped halfway up the stairs and looked into t2 and someone wa playing some rushy deep tech to a bunch of enthusiastic loons and i had to wipe a small tear from my eye...

also just remembered that rude rkad 'beautifull' acid dub track got played as well - 'uh, yeh, uh, yeh' with loads of wiggly acid. well squelchy.

Check out the pic, its really cool.

Just before I left I walked into the main room and had a final look, was beautiful, bangin' acid house and green lasers, people danceing, a perfect end.

awww, it is really sad reading the Turnmills "good byes" from Ed, mipps, Acid, et al - the people who have experienced it, played it and had many a wicked night there and it's finally come to an end - that's it, no more. It must've been hard thing to finally call it a day and leave for the very last time. I can only imagine what that must've felt like.

Oh my GOD!!!!! That was perfect!

got back to France yesterday...... havent properly recovered yet....

I walked in just in time to be in the middle of the room 1 crowd for the beginning of the Chems set..... probably the best Chems set ever.... nice to hear again some good (and usual ones)tracks. It was really packed but how could it be different?!?! Does anyone know what were the 2nd and third Chems set tracks? all chems set was really good, coming down and up and down and.... wow i could not stop dancing!!! i was a little bit dispointed with FatBoy Slim, i was expecting something different.... left to room2 for Streetlife set which was good. And then back to room 1 for Justin set and damned! he rocked it!!! his set was awesome, great tracks (HBHG remix, and when he dropped Phantom II..... oh fuck! the crowd went cravy as i did :)).

It was a perfect closing for this club where i have many good memories since Together NYE 2003.

We always felt good and happy when we hit this place with my friends. Nice to meet some peoples, feeling this very special crowd, screaming, shooting, singing..... this place will miss us all.

Leave Home 2nd No Need 3rd I think.

Was amazing thought the New Order remix sounded amazing on the Gurnmills sound system and the Shadowbreaker (Boyz Noize Remix)/Chemicals are bad edit was awesome. Really sad to think it's the last time I'll hear and see the Chems in that ultimate club. :(

Didn't stay in room 1 for FBS but Dan Kahuna played some good tunes in Room 2. Ended up leaving at about 3.30 for the 4 train back to Brighton. On the coldest night I think ever! :)

a special crowd shooting people dini? what club were u at!! this aint the bronx! ;)

but yes i have to agree, it was a perfect way to say goodbye. its such a shame - what a pity the price of real estate prices out a venue where genuine musical revolution took place.

just remembered shriekback - my spine is the bassline - wonky rubber funk heaven!!

Yeh I had to rock the Bus thing to London bridge then to Brighton by train, is all a bit of a blur, got into auto pilot mode. Cost £14 in a taxi from Turnmills to Victoria robbing Bstrds. Just had a bit of a flash back, did the Chems play somekind of WATN remix early on?

this is not what i did mean.....mippio :)

i did not recover all my brain... :) loose some vocabs over there :)....

I always met happy and friendly people in this club. This crowd is much more better than what you can experience in France..... dont understand why....

What track is No Need? a new chems material?

Which new order remix are you talking about? was it played into Chems set?

Thanks for the props people, really appreciate it, and really nice to see a few of you down there :-)

Here's my mix from Saturday night... There are a few dodgy mixes (I'm blaming it on vodka consumption!), but all in all, it was a great fun set to play though.

Twas a great weekend all round, going to miss turnmills massively. Rampling was quite incredible on Sunday night/Monday morning, ended up leaving just after midday, and was quite sad walking up the stairs.

3hree6ix5ive - here's the mix with hey boy, hey girl on it:

what an amazing weekend that was. The saturday night was phenominal. Was in room 1 for most of the night untill after Fatboy slim, who i thought was really good. Every time that i've seen him has been at a festival or weekend gig where he seemed to play mostly commercial stuff. This weekend seemed alot more underground and fun. After fatboy slim i moved to room 2 which was great but from what i can tell i missed a great Justin Robertson mix (although i think i did catch the first 15-20 minutes of it) Finished of the night to Anil when he played Voodoo Ray.

Slept in a shared hostel all day sunday. Went to go to Weatherspoons again but closed at 8 for easter- when i got there. (good job i went for a subway) Went to a local pub the other side of the road opposite the post office depot on the corner and drank cider and amereto and coffee untill 9. Ended up being the first person in on the sunday night (didn't mean to be). Was alowed to keep the ticket for the locker room so have two No.1 tickets which is quite nice. Went to see Anil in room 2 for the beginning of the night who played some good stuff. Recognised me which is cool. then all night i kept switching between room 1 and 2 for a bit of variety.

Massive difference between Saturday night and Sunday night. Don't mean to offend anybody with this but it seems that Acid House is about white people gurning off their face whilst the Sunday House night is owned by Gay people and Black people. this is a generalisation of course and was fun never the less. you just immediately notice the difference if you went to both nights like i did. Was really cool music the Sunday night i'll admit, even if i am more into the acid side of things. Ended up leaving the place at 11am, after 14 hours which ammused the locker people and one of the door staff that let me in. Slept for about 15 hours last night and feeling physically drained and dehidrated now.

What was really surrean was leaving Turnmills into light and what's more is that it was snowing. Pulled on the heart strings that.
