I say we just try sets out of the best we have, me second set, the one I will post consist only of chemical brothers, I tweak it alot, a few 3-way mixes but there are only a few analog sounds i put in that won't do much, this set is about an hour 16 but I cannot find a good intro other than that it's good to go, should we just post the html whenever or have a set date?

As I said earlier, I'll be going on a trip starting this weekend lasting 12-14 days, so my mix will be posted poned a long time. I was talking to sneakerbeat and he said he'll also be on holiday for just the weekend.

I thought it might be cool everyone to send their mix's to some person with a broadband line, and that is some what central to us all(I have cable, but I'm in Texas). Then could have some kinda of "radio show", with different people on talking and stuff commenting about their/other people's mix's and different stuff you/they did that you thought was cool. After the show we could release links to everyone's different mix, and maybe like the interviews from the radio show?

Well I was thinking that we could just stream it (hence the need to have somone that is central to us all). You can get software from winamp to broadcast shows and stuff. It would be relatively easy to do, for me at least, I just don't know if the connection would be that great between all of us.

this is just my humble imput but if by a radio show if you mean it streams at specific times that might be difficult due to timezones and what not. If we just start a new topic let us call it the chemixes, for a temporary name, we could have people post their link or whatever the way they got it online. Along with that they could write a little about the set, what to expect (or not) and anything interesting/special about it that might help everyone appreciate it a bit more. We could have only 1 or 2 posted every few days to ration them out so everyone gets a chance to listen, that way we all aren't bombarded with stuff to listen from, especially if these are hour+ sets.

Yeah, I realize that doing the radio show might be a stretch, But I just thought it would be fun if people wanted to do it. Keep giving me input and we can see what we want to do.

dude you don't need to decks/cd mixers to make a decent track. I have used just the bootleg software to mix and i must say it is pretty impressive. Just need to learn how to get around things if you know what i mean ;-)

I second that...oh ya! you really don't need much to put together mixes/remixes, I remember when I started out using computer wave-labs when they only feature reverse and simple echo and took forever to do anything, also didn't help that it was on windows 3.1... anything I can think about today, I was able to do on the ye olde one (minus good reverb). anyway long rant short, potential is found in those creative bursts and experimentation/trial & error. Plus there are lots of wave-editors you can download for free, someone (I'm looking in the direction antype...i think) posted a link for one a few months ago that was good and free one.

Somebody else posted that one some days ago.

But I agree that it is a great one.

If it comes to mixing two tracks together, you should have a look at Acid 4.0 and the beat match feature. If you can feed it with some accurate settings, you can come up with the most impressing mixes.

i am half done with my mix. It's about 18 mins. I might mix couple of tracks like Come with us and denmark. I also want to mix a slow song which would be real challenge
