Slipvin u liked 2046? Darn, I've seen Wongkarwai do such amazing stuff. I think only wankers who want to prove how cool and hip they are since Tarantino's pushing Wongkarwai now would like a 2046, I totally agree it's a fuckin snoozefest, and it gets nowhere, i mean nowhere! Sad plot in the name of kewl.

What's it about? Damn, I'm starving for some good films - been getting to watch just clunkers recently except the Tarantino fling.

So in your vision movies have to be about something? Now that's what I call short-sighted.

Saw Donnie Brasco last night! Good film, the ending wasn't quite expected and quite a headfuck!

I watched 'Electroma' last night. Mainly because it's a Daft Punk movie. I don't know what to think of it yet. I didn't dislike it but it wasn't a really good movie either. I didn't get "the search to humanity" story in it.

Daft Punk are innovators though. First making an anime musical with Interstella 5555 and now a film with just (no DP) music and no dialog.

This is england by shane meadows is a really good film. Stephen Graham from lock stock fame is fantastic in this he really deserves high acclaim everyone else is good to but graham is great. Anyone seen dead mans shoes another great film by meadows.

^I can't believe more people didn't figure out the twin thing. I thought it was obvious because of the old Chinese magician living his act and they never showed the bearded man's face straight on or in the same frame as Bale's. Plus, the bearded man always cocked his head to hide his face from the camera. It was just too obvious.

The only way this could be any more badass is if he had decapitated that guy with his bare hand instead of a knife.

mX - no i really missed the twin thingy - u actually figured he had a "twin"? i had no clue what the film was bout except a basic rivalry between two magicians, and nothing else, so I wasn't expecting subplots, really.

was a good one anyway!

i'm not even gonna open that link!

I knew he was a twin, that didn't spoil the ending for me, the real fucking head trip was that David Bowies machine actually worked.

I saw Zodiac last week. Really good, a lot of tense, and great acting.

What and how's Employee of the Month? Any personal reviews?

Also - got my hands on 28 Weeks Later, so will watch it anyway - I worshipped Boyle once.

Pornostar/Tokyo Pyscho, theres a damn brutal scene in this where the lead kills a yakuza boss by stabbing him repeatedly with multiple knives, just sticks them in and then pulls one out then stabs him again then pulls another out and stabs him again, this goes on for about 5 minutes....just brutal.Toshiaki Toyoda films i find strangely compelling and watch able blue spring and 9 souls were also really good, i particularly liked blue spring i cant wait to check out his new film hanging garden, it's supposed to be very different from the rest of his films which are focused disaffected youth and fucked up lives, but is supposedly his best most accomplished film so far.

I´m back from Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End:

*SPOILERS*

.

.

.

The marriage scene (Will and Elizabeth slow motion spinaround kiss made me vomit a little in my mouth) and Calypso subplot were terrible along with all the lame romance shit.

Worth for Barbossa, the CGI and the epic battles tho'.
