There's a commercial on TV at the moment about Special K. It says that if you eat Special K twice a day you will lose X amount of pounds a day. So you could still eat 10 donuts a day and still lose weight. Right?

Yeah, same about Diet Coke. It's got to loose pounds, so why not drink 4-5 liters a day ? }:-)

I once was drinking upwards of 4 cans of Diet Pepsi a day. My sis in-law was drinking something like 60 oz of Diet Coke per day! She had really bad migraines all the time and couldn't figure out why until she did a little research on the sweetner, aspartame. Turns out aspartame causes brain lesions and triggers migraines. Nasty shit. So she stopped drinking it, and the migraines stopped. And the sodium in sodas along with the carbonated water (even if the drink is 'diet') causes you to retain water, so you aren't losing any weight at all. It's all a sham, a disgusting marketing ploy to trick people into thinking they're being healthier and attaining their weightloss goals by sticking to diet drinks.

So a couple months ago I gave up soda altogether (except for the occasional Red Bull) I took a sip of Diet Pepsi recently, and it has a really moldy taste I never noticed before. blech.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Do you like Vanilla Coke? Or Pepsi Blue? I like Pepsi Blue. It tastes like a liquid sponge.

Vanilla Coke is the best pop ever. Pepsi blue is like a carbonated kool aid, grosse.

The problem with most of the Coke stuff is that the body can't really use the sugar that is in it, yet that very same sugar draws the water out of your body - ergo you are getting more thirsty.

Thats the problem with most soft drinks I buy. Thats why sprite ice or iced tea is the way to go.

I like a drink called 'Oasis' but I don't know if they sell it in other countries.
