Since I don't want to dig up the old topic, here's another.

I owe a shitload in tax money this year, and while I was figuring out how to pay em off, I discovered a way pay em and get wind up with an extra $2,000 (no, it does not involve selling drugs, so don't ask)

So after much deliberation, I've decided that I must have a Playstation 3. I was an xbox fanboy, there are literally dozens of games for the xbox360 that I want to play, some of which will never be released on the PS3, but in the long run I feel the PS3 is the better choice.

I'm also gonna drop a few hundred for a 7.1 receiver set up.... dr000l.

The only thing better than the Halo3 Beta will be Halo3.

Oh dude, don't get me started on Halo... I have long, complicated and completely justified reasons for fucking hating Halo.

I only picked up the original Halo on PC a couple of weeks ago (my old PC couldn't run it - the shame!). It's good, the AI is a bit basic and it's a bit same-y, but I've got no idea how far through it I am. I thought I'd completed it when I got to the control centre, then it carried on! I've just found the alien weird guys (total rip-off of Half Life, btw), how far into it am I now? Half-way, more, less?

More than half way. Prepare for deja vu.

Acutally besides the Halo3 Beta i've been enjoying Gears Of War and Crackdown. GTAIV should be quite exceptional too.

I wanted an xbox360, but I'm afraid that in 2 years, there will be games for the PS3 that simply won't run on the 360, or if they do, they'll have downgraded content.

The guy from Rockstar already said that they're having a hard time fitting all the textures and such for GTA4 onto a normal DVD.

I finally found our misplaced copy of wipeoutxl. Yay!. I was so looking forward to playing it again after... after however many years. A long time. wipeoutxl was one of those games that eluded me - I could never remember where I put it but I *knew* I could remember seeing it "not too long ago". So anyway. Found it. I used to play this game non-stop. I played this game ad nauseum when I was pregnant, back when the game was relatively new. I managed to unlock the super secret hidden level (for those familiar, it's the icy mountainous level that has Chemical Brothers billboards in it, hahaha!) And I was coming to thinking, this game pretty much marks the time when I began familiarizing myself with the Chems. Or at least doing so in a subliminal sense because here I am all these years later spamming up a Chemical Brothers forum. I would often choose the Prodigy Firestarter, FSOL We Have Explosive and the Chems Dust Up Beats to accompany my wipeout gaming most. This game rocks (even if the graphics are dated) it's a good, fun driving game. Accept no substitute.

I was so excited I found one of my favorite video games ever and on top of it, I had all this great music to play it with.

I pop the game in and play. First song up on random is Dust Up Beats. Woah, take me back. The memories of spending my younger childless evenings coming home after a rave and playing this game on the comedown, hahaha. So far, so good. Then clip clip... clip... the song was fucked!! The game was still playing well but the song kept clipping out. Same thing happens with Firestarter. I'm saddened by this turn of events. How is it that the game plays flawlessly but these 2 songs are fucked? Anyone else have this problem? I'm sad, people.

Am I even making any sense? I know its a lot of babble, Should I be in buzzed posting?>

That game is the only reason why I still have my old PSX.

PS3! One third of all 360's break down anyway. That's enough reason to give Microsoft the finger and Sony your money. Also, the PS3 looks slick, has Blu-Ray, and well, it's Sony, dammit!

I have a PS3 and it is well awesome but Sony like to fuck you hard.

The whole "all our good bluray movies require a 1080p $5000 TV" bullshit really annoys me. Fortunately you can download a lot of them in at least 720p, some up to 1080p.

Also, there are no good games out yet. There will be. But as yet none qualify. Perhaps does Resistance.... but that's one game.

Yeah, we are happy with the PS3. Better damn well be - it cost a lot of money. We figured we'd get a lot of use out of it with our existing home set up.

Blu-Ray is quite tasty, so easy to get spoiled!! That Planet Earth series looks and sounds absolutely incredible! I can't wait til Blade Runner's released on Blu-Ray!

Anyway, yeah. Games. I was sad about the audio on wipeoutxl. To make matters yucky, Loops of Fury was also fucked I later discovered after I posted here. But I did give the disc a good cleaning this morning. I'ts old, it's quite thrashed. Good news is Loops of Fury now plays wonderfully with the gameplay. Hooray!! Off to check and see if Dust Up Beats and Firestarter have magically healed themselves too.

I got Rainbow 6:Vegas the other day, and I got Resistence the day I bought it. I've also got Calling All Cars for some stupid multiplayer fun.

The really good shit will be out in the next 3 months... Lair, Assassins Creed, GTA4, Drakes Fortune, Home, there's a buncha tasty things in the works.

Bioshock looks like the schnitzel.

I wish that it was gonna be on the PS3... oh well, like all PC games, it'll be free. If you don't want me to pirate it, include compelling multiplayer.
