I'm here, I'm a fan!!! :D
I'm not sure how to respond to your theory, chemicalreaction. Not sure at all. Just about all of my girlfriends like the Chems, maybe not huge fans but they like them. Also, their old vmg mailing list had quite a few girls on it. Most of the girls I worked with at the record store really enjoyed the Chems Come With Us. When I went to their shows, the audience held quite a bunch of happy dancing females.
One of my friends though didn't really care for the Chemicals. She just couldn't handle the repetition or the beats (mind you, she mentioned this when I played her It doesn't Matter.) I can't really say it's a male/female thing either way. I pretty much think it's a matter of taste and the musical roads they take that lead them to which kinds of music appeals to them the most. Or something. Maybe it is the brain chemistry. hehe.
I do agree though that a good part of their fan base does appear to be male. A higher percentage of active mailing list users from the old Chem list days were guys. Most of the people who post here are guys. It seems Joslyn adn I are the only girls who post somewhat frequently in this forum that's teaming with high levels of testosterone. ;)
hmmm. The ChemiGirlies are out there, maybe they just haven't come out of the woodwork where you all live yet.

Sorry Joslyn :-// My bad. It's just that a long time ago, I had a female friend named Josalyn, so I thought... well, you get the drift. Apologies again.
I guess I am the only regular posting girl here. Not that I mind, of course. :D

Chicks love the chems. All the musically open minded female friends of mine love their tracks. I feel like I've accomplished a lot when I see Come With Us there in their collection. This must be why Mormons and other lobbying religions go door-to-door to try and get people to join their churches.
For some odd reason I though sneakerbeater was Tomrowlandschemicalchick, but apparently not :-//. I'm sure it really doesn't matter since I never addressed him/you as her. I also though Star Guitar was a guy, even though the name/song sends off a feminine vibe (maybe because all the converted chem fan women I know fancy that song the most).
I think that the reason 90% of the people here are guys is simply based on who uses forums. I'd think there are a more equal percentage of sexes of non-forum chems fans out there just guys tend to use forums more.
