I've watch again the "Voix du Gaou" festival videos and in the video from Block Rockin Beats, you can heard the last "yeaaaah" sample. When did they start to play it ?

Definitly Grandmaster Flash... I think it's the song "Beat Street" I know the vocals are from that, the guitar part I know I've heard somewhere before, maybe an old chems dj set, but the vocals sound like they're from about a minute into "Beat Street." The bass part also sounds a lot like this one regarding notes, it's a old primative synth so they didn't sample but probably covered the bass line in the song.

the bass line is the one they always use before BRB... Anyway, i've listened to their 97 Lolipop live, and during DYOH, there are samples from Base 6 ?! I thought that track were released in 2002 as a B-Side ?

I was actually listening to a 2002 show yesterday and noticed the bass line during the segue to brb is a little different. I think for the live version of DYOH, the might've had those vocal samples originally for the live performance, but decided to turn it into a track, hence Base 6. The vocals and the song sound a little big like Grandmaster Flash (white lines me thinks..).

Some times the chems take stuff they've used for a while and make it into a new song, kinda like how Hey Boy Hey Girl & Music Response were the typical encore songs prior to TPPR, obvious the final versions of those 2 were less like the original (which sounded like a DYOH B-Sides).

Ok. We may have a "Rock the house in" track one day then :P

I've listened to beat street and I do not think the BRB intro is taken from it... What part do u think they took ?

Well that 'rock the house' in already is a track: that's the chems remix of "voodoo people." That's a classic, prob the first chems related song I've ever heard.

The part i believe they took is the first words said , "Beat Street Breakdown. rrrRock." It's all spat out at once. They might've bent the pitch on the vocals to make it sound better in the intro/suque.

some of the music they played between galvanize and brb is the same as the old intro on the tour while they have added the vocals and all the beats after that.

hmm you're right ^^ i must have been a little tired when I posted that. That's true : the "breakdown" in the chems intro sounds like the one on GMF's track

Similarly, after brb at glasto 2000 I heard the sample 'Come on y'all let's rock' which I thought was really cool, a long time later I accidentally found out it was in the jailbird remix.

You're right, heard s.underground first and quite liked the 'on her way, today' sample and thought nothing of it. Recently got the charlatans vs chems ep and heard the 'on her way' part of Tim's vocal from patrol remix and was surprised. All this sampling stuff is quite cool really 8).
