it's one of the few (only?) not in the LFC trophy cabinet.

Um, I think you might have forgotten to mention a certain premiership thingamy that might also be missing from the LFC cabinet... a minor trinket I know, but worthy of a mention nonetheless! ;-)

Alright, if you're of the opinion the league started in 1992... won it what? 18 times in the old First Division? [delusional] And we'll add the Prem in May with any luck anyways! 8) [/delusional]

Lol of course! How could I ignore the great feats of Liverpool sides of a bygone era.... ;-) I know I'm being pedantic, but the prem trophy is a different trophy, physically and contextually, from the old first div trophy, thus, it is one trophy that is not in the LFC cabinet :P

Oh and I must add that you won't get it in May... alas I'm pretty sure that Chelski have an option on the prem for the next few years until Abramovich gets bored with football and moves onto F1 or something! :'( [/i]

Of course, you are right on both counts. :( And past glories are all we have to live on right now! Except for a certain evening in Istanbul last spring..... :D

Chelsea - Barca .... nice match but I'd rather like it as the final.

Some interesting pair-ups. Very glad to see that at least one each of Chelsea-Barca, Real-Arsenal, Bayern-Milan, PSV-Lyon will be heading home early.

Wouldn't mind facing the winner of Villareal-Rangers, assuming Liverpool makes it past Benfica.

the bleep test always sounds to me like u should be played a load of old LFO or Sweet Exorcist records and told to name the tun eby the bleep ;)

hehe nah we used to do it every year at school and it was pants, i hated it, id usually come top 10 because i was tall'ish and skinny and good long distance runner but i was more interested in playing my guitar and drinking cheap cider X-D

clive woodward promoted to director of football at saints - shocking! he's been in the game less than a year and is now doing the same job as frank arnesen. i think saints are doomed this season!

Did anyone hear the news about there being a mistake in the voting process leading up to London being chosen to stage the Olympics? Apparently if the voting had been done properly then Madrid would probably have won it. Will probably lead to nothing but if it does affect the decision...then great news!! (imo of course) :)

Hust got the bleep test through the post today so may do it later on. When i was alot fitter I got to level 13, but I doubt I could still do that. Apprentally David Beckham can compleate the whole test and show little signs of fatique.

Someone I worked with also works for saints, he was saying Clive is bringing in alot of sports scientists to improve the approach the club takes to the game and also working on the academy sides alot.
